Dr was kind and compassionate and genuinely took the time to listen to how I was feeling.He was able to explain to me exactly what a torn rotator cuff is and why it was important to repair it. I found caring qualities with Dr Philip Stegmann that is a rare find. The visit was exceptional I am so happy to say that my primary care dr sent me to the best. Great team

Obviously very knowledgeable. Dr explained what was going on with my shoulder and the best method of treatment in clear language.

The office receptionist was very efficient and pleasant. My wait time was 10 minutes. Hannah, the assistant reviewed all the meds, etc, and placed the MRI on the computer screen. Dr. Stegermann has an easy manner that put me at ease. He reviewed my MRI with me and explained the need for surgery. He described the procedure and used visual 3D objects that helped me visualize the process. I asked questions and he his response was very helpful. I have scheduled my surgery. Excellent visit! I was referred to Dr. Duquin by my wife's cousin who is a tennis instructor to explore the possibility of a repair to my rotator cuff or shoulder replacement. I found Dr. Stegemann to be welcoming , enthusiastic and friendly. He showed both myself and my wife the MRI that had the tear in my rotator cuff. It was complete tear and was retracted. By using the computer mouse, he was able to show how far it would have to be pulled to reattach it. He showed us the arthritis that is in the shoulder. He then used a model to show us how a normal complete shoulder replacement would be done. He then showed us how a complete reveres shoulder replacement would be done. He then introduce Dr. Duquin who would be performing the procedure. After further discussion, it was decided to go ahead with the reverse shoulder replacement. I'm totally confident that I'll be in capable, caring hands.

It was a professional, thorough visit. Dr. Stegemann & his staff explained everything in detail. Dr. Stegemann showed me, and pointed out everything I needed to know on my x-rays. Dr. Stegemann has cared for me, my parents, husband & two of my sons. We have all been thoroughly satisfied every time.

Excellent visit! I was referred to Dr. Stegemann by another distinguished and highly respected orthopedic surgeon to explore the possibility of a shoulder replacement. I found Dr. Stegemann to be welcoming , enthusiastic and friendly. He patiently explained various details of the procedure and the rehab. There was absolutely no pressure to make a decision on whether to follow through. In fact, I was urged to take my time and carefully evaluate the pros and cons. Although I have not yet decided to proceed, I'm totally confident that if I do, I'm certain I'll be in capable, caring hands.

Dr. Stegemann is professional and has a wonderful bedside manner. His examination was thorough and he patiently listened to, and addressed, all my concerns. Would definitely recommend him to friends and family.

I have known Dr.Stegemann for years, been his patient for several surgeries, and believe him to be a REAL doctor, that is, he never rushes, he listens and he tells you the truth about your situation, even if that means that there is not a complete solution to whatever problem you may be experiencing. A police officer hit my vehicle at 60 miles/hr and after a week Dr.Stegemann had to repair my left clavicle. It wasn't just broken, it was smashed into pieces by my seatbelt. That was 21 yrs ago on 5/2/99. He removed all the broken bone pieces and put the biggest metal plate in at his disposal. One 1/2 yrs later he cut me in the exact same place and took out the bolts and the plate. YAY!! (no more Frankenstein look lol). He did such an AMAZING job...NO ONE can see it. Unless I point out the tiny little line BEHIND MY COLLAR BONE! Btw I'm 5'6 and weigh 115 lbs. Beautiful job!! I wish ALL Surgeons did such GREAT work and CARE as much as he does. At every follow up visit there were students watching and learning from him. But all focus was on how I was healing. Perfectly. Thank you Doc Lisa Z

Short wait time. Great fro t Desk Staff. Dr. Stegemann is a kind understanding Dr. He answers all your questions . He definitely has awesome bedside many most surgeons lack. Totally recommend.

I made an appointment with Dr. Stegemann after being told by a far less experienced orthopedic doctor that I needed surgery. Upon meeting Dr. Stegemann, I knew immediately I was in good hands. He explained everything to me in laymen terms, never once making me feel uncomfortable. Anyway, Dr. Stegemann said my injury would heal on its own over time, and surgery is not necessary. If I could give him a million stars, I would. He allowed me to continue my mission and fulfill my dreams.

Doctor was very dismissive about my concerns. Does not answer questions or provide much information for the patient, nor does he explain why something may be wrong or what his thinking is. Spent a total of 10 minutes with me. Seems to have a superiority issue; he knows best even though he won't tell you why he is right. Even canceling appointments through his office with UB was difficult. I would never go back to Dr Stegemann and would be very reluctant to use UB Ortho again

Excellent doctor. Listened, took time with me, and fixed my problem with my knee!
