Rude, apathetic, and ableist. BEWARE
I needed ADA accommodations for my work, as my condition would cause flare-ups that would take me away from my desk. My condition and subsequent procedures are WELL documented by 2 other doctors. It wasnt something I could fake.But Dr.Burton clearly thought so, as she adamantly REFUSED to fill out the paperwork or acknowledge my condition, even after providing her documentation to substantiate and imploring her to reconsider given the FACTS of my illness that I had to live with EVERY DAY. First, she filled the form out saying I had no condition, nothing impeded me from my job functions, and it would be resolved in 6 months. wasting my time. I had to make ANOTHER appt to see her to AGAIN and she snatched it from my hand and fills it out without speaking to me at all. I asked her why she said it would be resolved in 6 months as its a chronic illness. She gave weak excuses and brushed me off. Do not expect quality care or empathy if you have a chronic illness.

Needs to improve bedside manner
Had a couple of run ins with Dr Burton, where she didn’t seem to have her patients’ best interest at hand. Having to switch practices and doctors offices to have my questions answered and prescriptions filled In a timely manner. She seemed a bit pushy in times when needing advice and not present in times of need pushing care off to other providers.

Based on my visit in January, I initially did not want to return to see Dr. Rachel Burton. However, I needed to get my blood pressure checked, so I scheduled another appointment. I am pleased to say that it was a much more positive experience. I saw a 100% improvement in Dr. Burton's bedside manner. She was kind and took the time to explain things to me in a way that I could understand. After this last visit, I am no longer looking for a new doctor. Thank you, Dr. Burton, for making such a positive change!
