Poor standard of care. Willfully deceptive
I saw Dr. Pughsley after having a neurologic episode. I had been at home when I had an episode of just not feeling right. I was suddenly unable to talk. While I did have a history of focal seizures, it had been 22 years since I had one. Rather than send me for a CT scan, she told me that I needed to stop 'huffing flyspray'. The paramedics had seen the fly spray in my room. She then told me she needed to test my urine for an infection. She was actually testing me for drugs. I am a 52-year-old who is dying from malabsorption starvation. My teeth have fallen out because of my severe health issues. I am extremely thin. Rather than treating me respectfully, she treated me like a drug addict and sent me home without actually looking at my brain. Standard of care was grossly negligent and formal complaints have been filed with NYS, the hospital and my insurance company. Dr. Pughsley lied to me about the testing she was doing.
