No Bedside Manner, So solutions
I was seeing Dr. Mallela for far too long. Dealing with horrible inflammation, no help or guidance during my pregnancy, absolutely no bedside manner or empathy. She is very nasty. She basically had no resolution for helping me with my treatment. Decided finally to go to another rheumatologist and already receiving better care there.

So thankful for this doctor. My dad was referred to her after another doctor did not know how to treat his auto immune disease. He got so sick. The dramatic difference she made in my dad's health, we couldn't be more thankful. I would highly recommend her to those suffering from an auto immune disease.

I couldn't be more pleased with a doctor as with Dr. Mallela! She gives you her total attention when describing symptoms of concern. When needed for an informed diagnosis Dr. Mallela orders tests to confirm a diagnosis. The best rheumatologist that I have ever had! Please Doctor don't ever leave me!!!

Just awful. Saw her once. Had my records transferred and read what she wrote. She didn't listen to my lungs or heart. She literally spent less than 15 min on my first visit by having me flex my feet and wrists and determined from that I have elhers danlos syndrome? No bloodwork, no real discussion no real physical exam. Waste of time.

Was a patient of Mallela's before, then I switched to a different office. And then I switched back. Thinking I'd give her another chance. But.. I should've never switched back. The medical assistants in her office, always been the problem. There very ignorant, inconsiderate, and rude. That's why none of her office staff last. Every few weeks there is new assistants in the office. Maybe it's her. Because even the good ones leave. And oh boy...dont need any paperwork filled out, Mallela and her staff come up with every reason why it can't be filled out. But...she wants to get paid hundreds of dollars for those 5 min office visits that she schedule you for. If my insurance is paying you, I expect the paperwork to be filled out that needs to be filled out. Also, I dont feel that she cares about her patients. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks, I contacted her/hospital contacted her. You would think she would come visit/call me, but she didnt.

I've gone to quite a few rheumatologists over the last 20-30 years looking for help with the pain I've had because of osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis and Fibromyalgia, and couldn't find one who helped. When I found Dr. Mallela it was a Godsend. She ordered Enbrel about two years ago, and the relief was incredible. I like her as a doctor and feel very comfortable with her. There's a lot of confusion due to the fact that she's relocated, but I can't wait till everything is back on schedule.

Saw Dr. Mallela in August 2016 for arthritis. She was an excellent listener of my complaints and did a though exam. She recommended a bone scan and x-rays to be done. I had them done yesterday at Buffalo Medical Center in Williamsville. The technicians there were very good and caring. I would highly recommend Dr. Mallela and the Medical Center for your health needs. There are many services that are available at the Buffalo Medical Center I was very impressed.
