Incredible Ophthalmologist
Dr Rangu Chandran is an amazing ophthalmologist with an equally impressive staff. His office is new, beautiful, and his practice operates better than any medical team I've ever experienced.I have an eye condition that needed to be seen on an emergency basis, the morning before a three day weekend. Dr Chandran's receptionist was able to get me an appointment to be seen in 20 minutes. When I arrived the reception team and technicians were all incredibly kind. With a very busy office, they moved me through the steps toward seeing the doctor with amazing efficiency. Dr Chandron listened to my concern, gave me a thorough exam and talked with me about a plan to address my eye emergency. He is very kind and an outstanding ophthalmologist!

An Eye Specialist with extreme skil & equal love.
My wife and I are both near 80. Because of her macular degeneration, we see Dr. Chandran at least monthly for shots. He also did two retina repairs for me a few years ago. His office is obviously a happy team. It's a trickle-down effect. We are SO lucky to have him in Modesto.

It is with great pleasure that i write this review. I have been a patient of Dr. Chandran for over ten years. He and his staff have provided amazing care of my vision and my well being. I have had other doctors examine my eyes and they have all comment on the remarkable work he has performed on both my eyes. I have been told he is the reason I still enjoy remarkable vision. I am a diabetic of forty years. And very thank full to have him as my care provider he is so much more than just a great Doctor.

I was told that I had a detached retina. My Insurance gave me the names of several Ophthalmologists. I went online, researched & decided to go to Dr. Chandran. He immediately put me at ease. He's very caring, easy to talk to & makes sure you understand your diagnosis & treatment. It turned out that I have a wrinkle in my eye that doesn't need surgery yet. He's checking it carefully every 4 months & will let me know when I need surgery. I highly recommend going to him. His office staff is great.

Dr. Chandran is and has been an excellent Eye Specialist regarding my vision care. I have been his patient since 2005 and have been grateful and fortunate that he was able to accept me as a patient of his after learning I have AMD eye disease. I give Dr. Chandran many thanks for his constant eye advice and care regarding my vision. I recommend him to people I know that have retina/vision problems with full support. Steve Simmons

Being treated for Macular Degeneration. Referred by my eye doctor. Had an eye bleed that he could firmed but did not start any treatment for two weeks, it was a Holiday. My vision has been stable so I stay with him. He is not a doctor that likes to answer questions and can be demeaning. His staff is helpful. I stay with him because I do feel he is a good doctor.

I am writing this review on behalf of my Grandma, Dale Matthews. Dr. Chandran is everything I've been looking for in a Physician. His facility is always immaculate & his staff is professional, & very welcoming. I was losing my eye sight because of diabetes & I was referred to Dr. Chandran for emergency surgery. At my appt. he went over the procedure & was very through with what the process would be. My surgery was successful and I can thank Dr. Chandran for saving my sight. He's truly amazing!

He is the worst doctor i have come across in my life. He thinks his a GOD. He treated my seventy year old mother like dirt and made her cry because she complained that the light was too bright. He is extremely RUDE. Us patients come to doctors to feel good not to make us feel like crap. My poor mother had a stroke and also had Angioplasty done and unfortunately she is on quite a few medications and she also has few other conditions like diabetes which led to her poor vision.

In 2014, my eye Dr discovered I had a macular hole and I needed surgery, fast, to prevent further damage. Dr. Chandran was recommended Within 7 days I was being operated on. Dr. Chandran explained in the first appointment what was going on with my eyes and assured me if I followed his instructions, I would be OK. From the very first appointment to now, 3 years later, I am a very satisfied patient and would recommend him to care for your advanced eye care. Bob S Turlock, CA

My name is Robert Yohanan , 2 years ago I fell and damaged my head which caused my right eye to be damaged and it is the only eye I can see out of. the left eye was damaged at birth.. I went to my optometrist for glasses Doctor Hoobyar in Turlock and he sent me asap to doctor Chandran which was kind enough to take me asap. They rushed me into surgery in one day or I would have been blind in my only good eye. I spent 3 months 24/7 with my head down and Prayed my eye would heal. God heard me and G

I would like to share my experience the first time I met with Dr. Chandran. I had lost the eye sight in my right eye. Dr. Chandran took all the time necessary to evaluate the condition, and make a decision on how to proceed. Dr. Chandran is very loyal to his patients and very concerned for their well being. His positive attitude and encouragement have been very helpful during a time of frustration and uncertainty. Thank you Dr. Chandran for my eye sight.

As a caregiver for my 97 year old mother, naturally I'm concerned about the best health care possible for her. She has severe macular degeneration which brought us to Dr. Chandran about 6 years ago. From our first visit, both my mother and I were very pleased with Dr. Chandrans understanding and gentleness with dealing with an older patient. He is very thorough, takes time to explain where she is with her eye situation, and steps that we all need to take to maintain her level of vision.

Dr. CHANDRAN has being caring for my aging parents for eight years. Combined, I've probably accompanied them on approximately 90+ appointments. While most specialists are highly skilled, most tend to treat the diagnosis and display little compassion for the patient as a whole person. Dr. CHANDRAN is the exception; he takes the time to listen carefully and offers thorough answers. He openly displays interest all the patient's medical concerns. While busy, he never seems rushed or impatient.
