Dr. Rebecca Montes, MD

I went to Dr.Montes to discuss Pre Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder (A more severe form of PMS) symptoms I have been experiencing for 3 years now, which causes suicidal thoughts, depression, and anxiety every month a week before my period. The symptoms got to the point where it affected the way I functioned at work and school, it even went as far as damaging relationships with loved ones. Unfortunately Dr.Montes did not seem to care and brushed it off as common pms and just said she would put me on birth control. She did not ask any further questions about my symptoms or give me any information on how birth control can affect me. I’ve never been to an OB by myself before and I left feeling confused and rushed out. The Birth Control made the depression and anxiety symptoms worse, lasting far longer than a week before my period, However I will not be going back to Dr.Montes. I am looking for a Doctor who will help me understand PMDD and Guide me through a healthy treatment plan.

I felt rushed during my appointment with Dr. Montes. OBGYN exams put the patient in a vulnerable position. During my exam, she inserted the speculum without warning and didn't tell me what she was doing or the tests she was performing. I told her my concerns at the start of my appointment and had to ask multiple times for her to address them. She was answering one of my questions as she walked out the door and didn't even wait to hear my response. I wish she had treated me like an actual human being during my less than 10 min appointment (that I waited over an hour for) and not a box that she needed to check off. Unfortunately, my insurance only allows 1 OBGYN check-up per year. I will be promptly switching providers.

I’m happy to have Dr. Montes as my physician?? The only thing that I don’t like is the long time that I have to wait to see the Dr.??

Dr. Montes is so wonderful and kind… it is the vital staff’s unfriendliness and time it takes to see her that makes it difficult to be fully satisfied with the office.

Yes, I would. She is great and easy to talk to and understand when she is explaining your treatment.

She took time to answer ALL my questions was not rushed like other doctors gave me individual attention and asked me questions about my well being, I loved that she actually listened and took the time make feel comfortable plus it was completely painless she was very tender and careful

My appointment was at 10 and I did not get out until 12.

I have seen Dr. Montes for almost 16 years now she has delivered my 4 babies from my teenage pregnancies to my planned pregnancies both natural and cesarian. Ive been given personalized care through different stages of life, as many women go through and I am forever grateful for her! Very professional, informative and caring not only for pregnancy care but for all obgyn needs. Her and her staff are approachable and kind and My questions and concerns are always addressed. The office is always clean and comfortable.

Long wait time and didn't like her demeanor

A bit of a longer wait than usual but otherwise pleasant staff very professional and all smiles. I been seeking Dr Montes since I was a teenager I am in my mid 30s and I’ll never change doctors absolutely love dr Montes

Everyone was very nice upon check in and the visit with Dr. Montes. She was very concerned and attentive. Very interested in my concerns. I feel confident in going back to her again.

Wait time was long but once I was seen it was fast

Everything was wonderful Dr. Montes explained everything to me wonderful to the point that I understood.

Took the time to answer my questions and seemed genuinely interested and willing to help.

She is an amazing doctor. She listens to you to ensure what are your needs and how she can assist you.

I went for my annual wellness visit. Dr. Montes has been my GYN for years now and she’s been wonderful!! She’s knowledgeable, asks questions, listens and always had good advice. Very satisfied patient!!!

Very professional nice and friendly. I was there a little over 2 hours (they did let me know that was going to happen when I made the appointment) which was great because I didn’t schedule anything else.

The wait times are ridiculous. Had an appointment at 8:45 am and didnt get in till close to 11:30. I would not recommend any one waste their time going here, doctor Montes is average at best, nothing worth waiting for.

This was my first visit and Dr Montes was rough and rude. She did not ask me about my history. I went in with a problem where she ordered patient imaging studies and I have no confidence she will call me back with results. I will be going to another Dr who will request the results from Dr Montes so I can get the treatment I need. What if I need treatment now? This doctor is terrible!
