Dr. Ricardo Salgado, MD

Observed this doctor at an appointment in Schaumburg NCH outpatient last month. The patient was informed by the doctor of his condition being critical and recommending an ambulance and ER. Patient was aware of needs however and expressed that. Doctor ignored providing the requested steroid until I addressed with the doctor before he released this patient. This doctor was arrogant in his reply. Completely lacked a bedside manner. And what was critical and ER worthy to this doctor, amounted to this patient waiting in the outpatient clinic bed for a steroid for nearly an hour. No real attending by medical staff during this time except with shame-based comments from this doctor. Very disappointing and uncomfortable to observe. This patient is black and eighteen years old, who was not being taken seriously by this doctor.
