EXCELLENT hip specialist for AVN
I had a consultation with Dr. Iorio for the first time, and I found him to be extremely kind, compassionate, and informative about the status of the AVN in my right hip, and my need for a total hip replacement. He spent a significant amount of time answering my many questions, and explaining my diagnosis as well as the proposed procedure. He is clearly an AVN hip expert in this field, and I am very pleased that he will be handling my care.

Rude and abrupt
Dr. Iorio was rude and abrupt. He didn’t not show any interest in what I had to say. He cut me off and made me feel as if I didn’t matter. He didn’t take the time to explain or review charts.

Consultation regarding patellofemoral condition.
His profile on BWH is not updated. Dr Iorio clearly started he does not treat patellofemoral osteoarthritis. Total waste of my time. Plus not even a "Good morning. How are you today?"

I was interviewed with Nick to explain the procedure and to see if I qualified for knee replacement and perfectly explained what would happen. A very nice meeting. Then met with Dr. Orio. Was given pre op excerizes. Thru Force. I felt well taken care of.

I cannot imagine a better experiance than I had with Dr Iorio on a full left knee replacement. The scheduling, the procedure, the followups , the force app that provided me with the excerisies to assure a good outcome were all flawless. I plan on returning to him later this year to have my right knee done as well.

Dr. Iorio and his staff have provided exceptional care and results. His surgical expertise and the follow-up care have given me a new outlook as to what is possible after surgery. After having both knees replaced I can get back to a fully functional and normal life without restrictions. He and his team can work minor miracles. 5 stars.

Dr. Richard Iorio, at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, was an excellent surgeon … my left knee procedure was flawless, and recovery was problem-free.. his PA and office staff were responsive and empathetic, and Dr. Iorio was highly-skilled and professional ... I've recommended him to friends in Maine, and will continue to do so...

Dr. Iorio replaced my right hip three months ago. I am mostly pain free. Went back to work in less than 4 weeks. If you need this sort of thing done, to mess around. NYU surgeons are the best. And the facility is also top notch.

Everything was good about the center and the staff giving appointments, friendliness, and courtesy. Dr. Iorio needed to be more available to questions. I felt he rushed the appointment. I felt he did not really want to listen to what I had to say. I filled in an extensive questionnaire about both knees and pain. He never discussed this with me. He just said that I probably had a high tolerance for pain and was under-reporting it. A few questions I did get to ask about shots, he rushed.
