Incredible Melanoma Oncologist
Dr. Conry is an excellent oncologist. He was my oncologist for 5 years as he helped me beat my stage 4 melanomaDiagnosed in 2012. He is quiet but caring and tends to not get to personal, and I understand this as many patients probably don’t make it. I prefer it this way as I was there for his advice and expertise not for his comfort. I am so grateful for this man, he literally helped save my life! Go Dr. Conry!!

His time seems to be more important than mine.
Over two hours late for appointment, unapologetic and very rude. He is in the wrong profession. Unempathetic, snobbish, rushed.

I do not recommend!
Was very disappointed. Laboratory, receptionist, and triage nurse were all very nice and professional. I understand that sometimes providers run behind a bit. I was seen for my 10:00 appointment after noon. I let it be known that I had a 3:00 appointment in another city, and I was assured that I would have time to make it. My real issue began when Dr Conry came in while I was ending a call with my orthopedic surgeon demanding that I take care of that later. I told him that I had been waiting for him since 10 and I should have been at home taking the call. He gave no apologies, rushed through the visit, and he wanted me to schedule a follow up in two weeks. I told him no thank you and that I would prefer a phone consult. He told me that he will call me exactly two weeks from today. I would not recommend Dr Conry if you care anything about feeling important as a patient. He may be good at what he does, I do not know yet, but his personality was a turn off and I will not be seeing him a

Drs. Marshall Urist and Robert Conry saved my life. Conry seems more introverted and can come off as aloof, but he and his staff are extremely efficient and helped me navigate scary waters. I'm glad I have him, and the 90-minute drive is worth it. Wait times rarely exceed 15 minutes, which is a huge plus.

I’m giving him 1 star because he knows what he’s doing as far as cancer goes. Unfortunately, his bedside manner is atrocious. He was rude to us during an office visit and typically rushes in and out with little time to bother with us. He seems annoyed to have to spend time with his patient answering questions during the most stressful and difficult times of one’s life. This past visit he scolded us for not being prepared for the visit when he is never prepared. Worst experience ever

Saw Dr. Conry each 2-3 months for follow up to melanoma surgery for almost one year. During this period of time I complained repeatedly about discomfort and concerns about one of the sites where lymph gland was removed. He prescribed some very expensive ointment (+$1000.00) . I contacted surgeon at UAB and he agreed to see me. After a very brief exam of site he immediately diagnosed the problem as a recurrence of the melanoma. Now at MD Anderson hopefully will recover no thanks to Dr. Conry.
