ARO procedure--one month later
Dr Robert Dean was very nice and personable however--one month afte the ARO procedure for my arthritic right hip joint (performed by Dr Richard Genato) I am still having pain in my hip, especially when walking around a mall for 20-30 minutes as well as also having considerable pain in my right hip when climbing stairs. According to Dr Dean (who is the medical director) who basically sold me on the ARO two-step method telling me that, after the radiofrequency ablation, I would no longer have ANY hip pain because the nerves that carry any pain impulses to my brain would have been ablated. (The second step involves an injection into the hip of live stem cells which--as Dr Dean said-- would be better able to heal the joint cartilage in a pain free envirionment and, that the ablated nerves would heal and grow back (in about a year) but , I still have pain NOW--sometimes as bad as it was before the procedure and I wasn't supposed to have ANY pain after the radiofrequency ablation.

I had a phone visit with Dr Dean because I was unable to make it in person. Our visit was an hour, he explained everything in great detail, educated me on the history, research etc. He listened to my questions, answered everything and was so personable and easy to talk to. I felt very comfortable with him.

They misdiagnosed my problem. Said I had hip problems. But did no imaging to confirm. $6,250 and a year later, I went to another doctor who compared before and after xrays and said my "hip was fine, go see a spine doctor". Spine Dr did an MRI showing 2 bulging disks and moderate stenosis irritating the sciatic nerve which was sending pain through my hip and down the leg. A simple injection alleviated the pain. Asked Dr Dean for a refund he declined. GO ELSEWHERE

Look closely at reviews for Advanced Regenerative Orthopedics. Most reviews talk about the *seminar* and not a procedure outcome. Seminar was good, as was the *free* consult. Look up reviews of all 5 doctors involved in this practice (on business card when you go for the *free* consult). Of the 4 other doctors, one has frightening reviews (Michael Haghighi, MD). Daniel Milam DO has good reviews. If you look up the individual doctors, you might be concerned. Agree Dr. Dean appears smart and co

My experience at Advanced Regenerative Orthopedics was very positive from consultation day, the actual procedure and the follow up, Dr. Dean, Dr. Esposito and Dr. Haghighi along with their wonderful medical and office Team made me feel very comfortable and answered all my questions. The procedure to my knee was not painful and I was able to walk right after it. I am glad I decided to do it and I am glad I choose this Team of professionals!

Having the stem cell procedure done in my left shoulder has given me back quite a bit of my range of motion with much less pain than I used to have. Thanks to their finance options it made it easier to pay for the procedure because my insurance wouldn't touch a new and innovative therapy.

I went to their seminar on 12-4-18 and signed up for a consultation in the end. Having just had knee replacement 3.5 months ago and although happy with it so far if I can get the same result without a year of recovery then great.

Dr. Dean is an incredibly smart & caring doctor. Every time I've ever visited his office his staff was great and his care to my injuries was amazing. I would recommend my friends & family to him with out a doubt. I am confused about these other reviewers as he never once spoke negatively about any surgeons or other physicians in fact quite the contrary. Dr. Dean is a wonderful doctor!!!
