Wrong diagnosis
More than 10 years ago he diagnosed me as having a pretty terrible gastric disease. One that there is no cure for. He was WRONG. I have since been told that I don’t have it and never did. His bedside manner is well he has none. His staff is at most mediocre. I highly recommend you find a real Doctor.

1) Zero bed side manner 2) Left me waiting in a room while he chatted up the staff about weekend plans, a new car he bought, etc. 3) put me on acid reducers for YEARS...the ones they now tell us to only use for 2 weeks.

Dissatisfied patient – Aug 05, 2021

Just like some of the others, Dr. Herring ignored my actual problem for coming into the office in the first place. He was only concerned about performing a colonoscopy and getting it scheduled the next week because he had cancellations. Even after I told him, I wouldn't be able to do it the next week, he had his staff schedule it anyways. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. He did not take the time or act like he was concerned with my actual problem.

Dr. Herring is the kind of doctor every doctor should be. He was on time, courteous and friendly. He listened to what I could tell him even though he was well informed about me and had my X-rays up on the screen, and the history of my foot. He treated me like an adult who could understand what he had to say. That was important because after I turned 80, I’ve noticed with some doctors my quality time is shorter. He gave me as much time as I needed and clear instructions on what I could do and could not do if I decided not on surgery. If I decided on surgery he explained what he would do and what my recovery would look like. He also recommended a physical therapist that he would work with on my recovery. In my estimation you can’t get much better than that.

Ignored my actual problem for reason of seeing him and did his own thing. Finally a month later realized my primary concern was the most concerning issue and even now 2 weeks after getting the biopsy done I am waiting on results. I highly recommend to seek another doctor this office is poor are listening to you or keeping you updated on your results.

This is a poor practice. Staff is rude and not professional. Starting from the front desk to the back. waited for 7 hours for service. Unreal.

I have been sitting in the room for an hour and a half, waiting to see the doctor. Nobody comes to check, and when I stuck my head out to ask, I was told there are other people... My first visit I never even saw the doctor, I was evaluated and recommended a surgical procedure by a PA.

In the past have received fantastic customer service from his entire staff. They have helped me over come a "fatty liver" and a few other colon exams over the last five years. I'm doing fantastic thanks to them...they come highly recommended.

If you just want a colonoscopy, he's as good as any other. But if you want to actually get consultation for a health problem, I don't recommend his office. After two visits, blood work, and some ultrasound, no one seemed interesting in talking to me about anything but getting a colonoscopy. So I obtained a copy of my lab results and notes. His nurse practitioner made mistakes on my initial interview, all justifying a colonoscopy. I hope you're getting the theme here. It's called "Colonoscopy".

Literally saved my life from Hep C in 2004. I've been almost free of symptoms , minor fatigue is the only indication. Also in 2013 I brought my 55 year old husband to him with 15 plus years of Hep b Hep c and cirrhosis. He had quit drinking for ten years and the first visit put him 36 . later that afternoon his staff called me and said he was now 40 !! He was at the top of the transplant list !!! Dr. Puri ( his colleague ) admitted him the next day in a Memphis. hospital .
