I'm 71 and had lumbar surgery 5/18. Next day I was up sitting in a chair. Went home Sunday and walked up and down townhouse stairs. After talking to hospital staff they all said this seems to be his calling. I would recommend him for any ortho surgery. His staff have always been helpful and quick to respond.

Left hand incorrectly and permanently 'repaired'
August 2020 mid-covid my left ring finger was broken and twisted in an accident. The surgeon said he would take care of me, and that it would correct my hand 100% with surgery, with stiffness being the most likely side effect. My ring finger was not set straight. It now collides with my pinky. The joint will neither open nor close correctly. I can no longer play guitar well (omg) and had to relearn to type for my living. I wish I could post pictures here for you to see. My last appointment I went in to vent my concerns with the doctor to ask about fixing it, they charged me, and send it to collections when I refused to pay the $201.00 visit on principle. I called Linda at the billing office on 6/8/22, and she stated that she could not just cancel the billing. I was forced to pay the collection agency to have them try to put a "deletion" on my credit report to purchase a home. My life has changed permanently with no options due to my choice to seek treatment there.

I have had a long term back problem. Dr. Calderone performed a L4 L5 spinal fusion on March 4th 2020. It is now May 22 and I could not ask for a better recovery. I can bend over over, walk miles, rode my bike over 20 miles yesterday all without pain. I am back to a normal life style. Dr. Calderone is very caring and very concerned about my well being, and progression. His office staff have gone out of their way to make this surgery happen and I thank them. If you are looking for a caring doctor with many years of practice I highly recommend Dr. Calderone.

Been over 2 years since my mom has had her hip surgery after a fall ... she is still in lots of pain and can hardly walk sometimes. We have been to his office several times and he has not been able to help my mom. It’s been a very difficult time for the family and seeing my mom struggle with her walking And pain ... after 2 years, we are obviously not happy with the surgery. We have been to a specialist and his diagnosis was no better ... it wud take major surgery to try correcting the problem, and even his recommendation was not to perform a 2nd surgery: sorry but the family is suffering along with my mom every day !!!

Dr Calderone was very quick to see me for a compression fracture of my vertebrae. He scheduled me for Kyphoplasty right away. His office staff was very helpful in coordinating with my primary care physician for pre op. I’m so thankful to Dr Calderone and his staff for a successful surgery and follow up

I am 82 years old, a retired R.N. With back pain and trouble walking becoming progressively worse. Dr. Calderone operated, and now,NO PAIN!! What more can I say!! That was in October of 2018 and I am doing great! I was able to walk all around the Santa Barbara orchid show. Before surgery, I would have needed a wheelchair!

About 19 years ago, I was referred to Dr. Calderone for back surgery problems with L4-L5. Today, I will actually turn 80 soon and since the surgery, I have been able to lead a very active life gardening, volunteering in my grandchildren’s classrooms and traveling. I can’t imagine accomplishing all of this with the back problems I had. Thank you!

I'm 54 and have a very active job and lifestyle. I suffered from back pain for years and found out I had no disc between L4-L5, I was bone on bone. 4 months ago, Dr. Calderone fixed me by putting in a titanium disc and rods. I feel absolutely normal. Best part is I have no pain and have more flexibility than I did previously. He spends as much time as you need to answer your questions and concerns. He's a great surgeon and doctor, in my opinion. And his staff is always friendly and efficient.

As of January, 2017, Dr. Calderone's been my primary care physician in my worker's compensation case. It's been a struggle. Every request for authorization has been denied this year in 2018. But, Dr. C has been patient and thoughtful. He has tried several approaches to alleviate pain from my neck and shoulder injuries. He is a thoughtful and caring doctor. I am unable to remark on his surgical expertise. I have not had any surgeries performed by him. He & his staff are thorough and thoughtful.

I would have absolutely no reservations recommending Dr. Calderone to my family as he is the Best Surgeon I’ve ever Had. After receiving multiple injuries while on Duty in L.A County, I was lucky enough to do my due diligence deciding on Dr. Calderone. Because of the injuries sustained, 2 total Hip Replacements and 2 total Kmee Replacements. Dr. Calderone was the only Dr I trusted. To this day, even though I medically retired to Vegas, I still drive 5 hours each way just to see him monthly

Don't waste your time health or money on this horrible office. They are no help. There is no communication. It takes months to get in. Once you're in he lacks help staff is rude. He does not submit proper paperwork. Please I beg you go somewhere else this "man" does not deserve your money.

Dr.Calderone is very knowledgeable in his field. He performed 3 successful surgeries on my son. They healed quickly as Dr.Calderone does the least invasive surgery possible. He is quite personable with explaining the condition & upcoming procedure along with approximate healing time and side effects of the procedure/anesthesia. Follow up visits are frequent to make sure all is going as planned and condition is responding to treatment. Staff is very nice, friendly and efficient.

Dr. Calderone performed a full hip replacement on my 14 months ago. I was up and walking and ready to go back to work within 6 weeks; there was minimal scarring and no problems since. Recently, my husband fractured his femur and Dr, Calderone did a partial hip replacement on him. He also recovered from the surgery rapidly and has minimal scarring, and full range of movement. We feel Dr. Calderone is an excellent surgeon and would recommend him to anyone.
