Dr. Roman Ashmyan I, DO

I broke my Radius into three pieces. He gave me all the information on best treatment and what it would be like as I recover as far as nerve damage. He had to put in a rod and 5 screws. Now I'm at a year and it is fully healed. Still working through the nerve damage. I like his upfront approach and great support.

Dr. Ashmyan had to put a plate and screws to hold my broken wrist together. On my first follow-up visit, I was directed to hand therapy to regain movement, flexibility, and strength. He is kind, caring, and knowledgeable. The staff in the office for office visits are very friendly and professional. I hope I don't 'slip and fall' with my other wrist , but if so I would definitely request him to be my surgeon.

This senior citizen is very happy with the results of shoulder replacement surgery performed by Roman I. Ashmyan. I felt comfortable with Dr. Ashmyan from my very first visit. His bedside manner is excellent. Dr. Ashmyan projects a well-deserved air of confidence, quite understandable in light of the fact that he completed approximately 450 shoulder surgeries during a specialized medical fellowship and hundreds more since then. Dr. Ashmyan was very good at explaining the procedure that would be involved including the robotic surgery which he uses. My surgery was completed at Hackensack Meridian Health. The staff was terrific!. I never experienced any pain, not even on the day of the surgery or the days immediately following surgery! At home I practiced the single exercise which Dr. Ashmyan prescribed. Eight months post-surgery, I feel completely confident with my arm. I pursue all of my normal activities including riding a Harley and waterskiing. I heartily recommend Dr. Ashmyan

From our first meeting had a comfortable and confident manner. Explained shoulder replacement procedure in detail . I was fortunate to get a quick scheduling for surgery. The first 2 weeks were tough but by the 3rd week I began exercises he recommended and a fast track to healing without Physical Therapy . The healing continued and at 2 months I was very comfortable with movements and was cleared to drive. I’m now at 3 mos and my incision is barely noticeable. Thank you Doctor Ashmyan.
