We had just moved from San Antonio. I had just had major surgery due to ovarian cancer ( bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy ) My oncologist placed me on Brisdelle. Dewitt had never heard of it and said e f f e x o r would be better. I believed him. Don't ever take this medication. It was horrible. Read the reviews. It took me 3 months to get off of it, and I had only taken it for 4 days. When I mentioned hot flashes and anxiety, he said and quoted, ' What would the cavewomen do if they had a hot flash?' I didn't respond. I stated I felt dizzy and about to faint when I had a hot flash and sometimes could not get out of the car due to the heat outside on top of my hot flash, so I would turn around and go home, and he said quote, ' But have you? Have you ever fainted?' I never saw him again. This was about 10 years ago, and I still remember it like yesterday. I just called my doctor back in San Antonio and still see him to this day.

Dr. Dewitt has been my primary care physician since the late '90s - he's quite frankly excellent. If he wasn't, believe me, I would have fired him as my PCP a long time ago. Once he retires, finding one as good as he is will be difficult.

Terrible Physician!!!
He made me feel awful the moment he walked into the room. Told me every way that he was not going to help me. He never did any physical assessment and never addressed why I came to the visit in the first place. He was extremely rude and has the worst bedside manner that I have ever encountered and I have been working in healthcare for over 15 years. He should be referred to as Dr. Dimwit. Horrible experience and a big waste of time! Beware and be selective before you chose a physician and definitely stay away from this one!

I have always been well taken care of by Dr. DeWitt. He is a very nice and caring physician. It doesn't feel like a meat market as one of his patients.

I would like to warn any patients of Dr Ronald DeWitt. Dr DeWitt now belongs to the Baylor, Scott & White group. Apparently this means that you will pay anywhere from 4 to 10 times more for routine office visits and lab work. Normally an office visit & lab work would cost about $300(my share: $25 office visit copay plus about $20-30 portion of the lab.) When I received my bill it totaled $1800 with my share being $400. ANYONE WHO VISITED DR DEWITT BEFORE HE JOINED BAYLOR NEEDS TO BEWARE.

Unfortunately, I have a lot of experience with doctors having been caregiver for both my mom and a dear friend. I have never had such a positive experience with a doctor in all of these years. Dr. Dewitt was extremely personable but so very knowledgeable and caring. He truly listened and asked detailed questions and, although we all know that doctors have to adhere to schedules carefully, we did not feel rushed or dismissed in any way. I've never had so much confidence in a professional.

Diagnosed very high blood pressure but failed to treat!!! Needless to say, I changed doctors. Involved himself with family issues about which he had very little information which resulted in very unfortunate repercussions within my family. I once worked for doctors (underwriting medical malpractice insurance) and have a high regard for the profession. This is the first time I have ever encountered a doctor who shouldn't be one!!!

I'm always amazed at how Dr. Dewitt makes you feel like you're the only one in his office when you're discussing things with him. He takes the time to really think through the different situations going on with me and render a judgement on each without regard to how much time we're taking.... I love that. Easy going with lots of common sense is how I would describe Dr. Dewitt. The down side of having doc all to yourself is that he does it for everyone and as such, sometimes you can wait a bit
