Dr. Ronald Evans, MD

Ron Evans is a topnotch Ophthalmologist. He's caring, compassionate, very knowledgeable, and answers all my questions. Yes, sometimes we have to wait a long time after the scheduled appointment, but it's likely because he's taking time to meet the needs of patients prior to my appointment. He recently did cataract surgery with a permanent silicone lens implant in both my eyes, a week apart. It has taken 50 years off my eyesight - now everything is brighter, colors are more vivid, and I can see clearly without distance glasses! The procedure was painless with minor discomfort. I'd put it off for many years, disliking the idea of having my eyeballs sliced. But Ron Evans is highly skilled, and in 10 minutes he was done. No eye patch even! I could see after the surgery, though blurry for the first 12 hours, but after that, things cleared up. My life is totally changed - I can see stars at night after decades of not seeing them!

Dr Evans did my eyelid sugery and I can honestly say he has an awesome personality. He's very Gentle and kind. He is definitely my favorite Doctor. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Ronald Evans and his entire team at the Cedar Eye Center are absolutely fantastic! Between my wife Gigi and me, we have had four cataract procedures in the last 2 months (each of us had both eyes done). Contrary to our fears, they were less trouble and less painful than having our teeth cleaned! From the nice lady who answers the phone, through each and every member of Dr. Evan's team in his office and across the hall in the Surgery Center, and right up to the lady who wheeled each of us out to the car, everything was pleasant, easy and professional! Dr Evans has a group practice which is attractive and comfortable, but more than that, he was knowledgable about my condition and treated it effectively. His staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend him without reservation.

I cannot recommend the Cedar Eye Center, or Dr. Evans. In a word, Overbilling. I sat down with their office staff and the cost that was discussed was 3 to 4 thousand dollars. They billed over $11000 for cataract surgery. On my 80/20 affordable health care insurance this left me owing money I cannot afford to pay. Anthem Insurance paid their part but did not even question why they billed so much, and left me owing 20% on this monster of a bill. I cannot afford to get the 2nd eye done. Be wary

I love every aspect of my exams with Dr Evans except the wait time. It seems they are always running behind schedule so I try to book the first available appointment in the day...it did help with my last visit. I would like to think that the reason the appointments get backed up is because the doctor is very eager to listen to your questions and wants to be sure you understand his explanations. I have also seen other Doctors in this practice (when it was an emergency) and liked each of them.
