Dr. Ronald Richmond, MD

Dr. Richmond performed a colon resection on my husband several years ago. He was EXCELLENT. Very thorough during the pre-op visit explaining everything. We knew nothing about the surgeons in Cape and trusted our gastroenterologist to recommend one. We hit the lottery with Dr. Richmond for sure. On my husband's last colonoscopy here in KY, the doctor performing it told my husband and myself that whoever did his resection did a wonderful job as he could hardly tell where it had been done. If either one of us needs surgery in the future, we will want to go to St. Francis and request Dr. Richmond.

He passed along great information prior to surgery. The surgery was flawless and the follow care was good.

I am very pleased with Dr. Richmond and his staff. He had a great bed side manner. But is very professional and really seems like a caring doctor. Which is very rare these days. I would recommend him to anyone who ask for a great doctor/surgeon

Some people need to understand that their personal opinions of working with Dr. Richmond should have no place on a rating scale such as this. How about you allow patient/doctor experiences dictate how this rating is perceived. I work with him btw and he is an excellent surgeon. I would recommend him to anyone that asks.

Dr Richmond has the kind of morals you want your doctor to have. Treats every pacient like it’s one of his own family members. I’ve worked with him for years, his experience and knowledge is top notch. He strives for excellence and expects it in the care given to his pacients.

I have recently worked in the OR with this physician. He treats his OR staff terribly. His nurses and scrub techs strongly dislike working with him because he gets so bent out of shape about simple things. The chip on his shoulder is very rude and degrading to the staff who is constantly bending over to help him both on and off the sterile field. A lot of thought goes into preparing his cases because they truly want it to be right for him. Still yet, he finds something to tear them down about.

He made me feel so much relief after being in another hospital twice for several days at a time. He got me in a quick as possible to see him then to do my surgery. I was told and explained everything that was going on as it was done. He has a great bed side manner and is very professional. I would recommend him to anyone with 5+ stars.
