Caring and thorough doctor
I have been a patient for a few years and am grateful to Dr. Butrus. He is very detailed and considers your full health history. He listens to your concerns, answers any questions, and explains treatments in a way you can understand. I am able to schedule appointments for the time needed. I’ve had doctors who say to return in a month only to have the staff say there’s nothing open for three months. That doesn’t happen with Dr. Butrus. He and his staff work together and really seem to care about each patient.

My Favorite Ophthalmologist!
Dr. Butrus' staff was warm and welcoming. Although I was an emergency visit, I did not have to wait long. His manner is great! I felt like a long-time patient of his. He got right to the source of my issue and I left feeling confident in his ability to take care of me. I would highly recommend Dr. Butrus, I love him!

I have been a patient of Dr. Butrus for several years. I've had cataract surgery on both eyes. Several of my friends are also patients of Dr. Butrus. He has a good chairside manner and personality. His office staff is professional and patient friendly. I would recommend others to Dr. Butrus.

He performed cataract surgery four months ago. So far, everything has worked out well. Recovery was relatively quick and painless and the following day, was amazed to have 20/20 vision. Accessing an appointment has always been very easy, and have rarely had to wait. Office staff has been very pleasant. Dr. Butrus can be a bit rushed and seem distant, but not complaints about the results of his work.

I had a yearly eye exam covered by my insurance so I went to see for the first time Dr. Butrus. He insisted in giving me more exams, but i didn't want to pay hundreds dollars extra, I had to repeat myself several times to telling that i didn't want extra tests just the yearly exam to get my new glasses prescription. After that he told me not to worry, we do some eye exams and finish with the dilated fundus exam. Dilating the eyes is a central part of this last exam. It involves the administration of two or three drops directly into the eye. You pupil get so dilated that any light beam is painful, and the effect last for couple hours. I have NOT been notified before the appointment about this test and i had not brought or anybody gave me any sunglasses! I had to leave the examination with a big headache due to the over dilation of my eyes and i couldn't even open my eyes correctly because i had no filter to help with the light beams. But Dr. Butrus told me it was normal, i should not wo

My wallet was stolen including a copy of my eyeglass prescription. I was able to replace all cards replaced within two weeks, except for my eyeglass prescription. I am NOT buying new eyeglasses. Dr. Butrus’ office initially said that it is ILLEGAL (later retracted) to give me a copy of my three year old prescription. I called for an explanation and was not given a satisfactory response. I was told that to get a copy, I needed a new prescription ($250+).

I arrived a few minutes early, waited about 10 minutes & was taken back to an examination room. Dr. Butrus had another patient, but he stuck his head in to say he would see me in a few minutes. He saw me in just a few minutes. The staff are very people friendly and you are immediately put at ease when you enter the office. The staff all work well together. Dr. Buturs is a very people friendly ophthalmologist. He also has a great sense of humor. Office is near Eastern Market Subway. GOOD!
