I saw Dr. Lee a number of times several years ago for an elbow problem and a wrist problem. His surgery on my elbow was completely successful. I found him easy to talk to; pleasant, with a good sense of humor; and very knowledgeable and good at explaining issues. I would definitely see him for any future problems.

Cyst removal
I am a medical professional who had a surgery with this physician for removal of a finger cyst that was causing a nail deformity. The surgeon explained the procedure and stated it was a simple procedure. Post op, the surgeon did not come to see me. He actually left right after. I requested to see him, but he did not. Three days post op, I experienced surgical site bleeding which saturated my dressing and a foul smell emanated. Upon inquiring with the physician several times during the following days, I was repeatedly told, by his office, to just give it time to heal and that everything would be fine. All normal. Don't worry so much. Nine days later, I went to the ED and was diagnosed with an infection, which eventually advanced to osteomyelitis. I went to another physician and infectious disease doctor who helped save my finger. My experience with this surgeon was negative and my concerns were belittled and disrespected. I experienced more arrogance than care by the MD.

12 Years Ago 2 Surgeries
I had Dr. Lee do shots/injections on my hands for years before I was at the point of needing surgery. He has a playful friendly vibe that in my 20's now late 30's I was comfortable with. I have had hand issues since age 4 and he was the first and only Dr I allowed to touch my hands. I have literally emailed him today asking for a suggestion on where else to look for another issue as I trust his judgement. I am stunned to see the negative reviews on here and can only speak to the years of great service from him and Miranda in the office I received then. Once injections were no longer an option, I had him operate on each wrist/hand. Zero scars. No issues. I would return to him 100%.

Dr Lee is amazing. He is skilled, communicates clearly and calmly, and is compassionate and does not have a scrap of the arrogance seen in some surgeons. He took care of my wrist and hand after a failed surgery by another physician. I would recommend hi. To anyone.

Dr didn’t care I’m still having pain months after surgery. Said I was just a number he needed to get back to work so he can have more workmen’s comp cases. Still having the same issues with pain and he is yelling at me so he dismisses my case and sends me on my way. He is a doctor that does not listen to patients. Doesn’t even listen to therapist about my pain and progress. The guys a joke IMHO

Excellence and hospitality! In addition to being an excellent doctor, Dr. Lee is a warm, caring person. He inspires trust. I feel so lucky to have found him. I would also like to acknowledge his office staff, Karen, and Miranda for their warmth and kindness. Dr. Lee has a staff that would make anyone proud.

In my opinion, like so many doctors today, Dr. Lee is not willing to be an advocate for his patient. His fees are exorbitant, but in return you get no loyalty. He did help me with a diagnosis, but seemed reluctant in the process. I can't speak to his surgical skills because I will not go back to him.

I went back to Dr. Lee's office w/a sharp pain in my arm after he'd given me a shot for ten elb. I'd had many cortisone shots before and hadn't had this response- I thought I might be having an allergic reaction. He began SCREAMING at me when I told him he was making me feel like I was exaggerating the pain. He kept yelling until I got up and left. I've never had such a horrible interaction w/anyone, let alone a doctor. He might be a good surgeon but he's a horrible doctor. I'll never return.

Outstanding surgeon..... Consulted Dr. Lee in '08 following a failed rotator cuff repair and newly discovered nerve injury (shoulder). In order to receive revision surgery to the rotator cuff tendons, I needed a nerve transfer. Dr. Lee performed a successful nerve transplant procedure which allowed me to undergo a successful rotator cuff revision using the graft-jacket procedure (at that time this was not offered at MGH). I am so grateful to Dr. Lee, and Dr. Jeffrey Abrams (Princeton, NJ).!!!!

Dr. Lee lacked compassion when discussing my post surgery pain. He did not refer me to a pain management center nor did he want to suggest physical therapy for desensitization of the skin.
