Dismissive and disrespectful
Dr. Kramer was completely dismissive of me and my symptoms from the minute she walked into my room. She acted like I was inconveniencing her just by being there, disregarding the issues I was complaining about, writing off my pain, and talking down to me the entire time like I couldn't possibly understand anything about medicine. After practically begging for any kind of diagnostic work, she finally agreed to do a few blood tests, but then never followed up about the results. It was an utterly demeaning and dehumanizing experience, and one that did nothing to help resolve my chronic pain. Her office staff was lovely, but as a physician, it really seems like she makes up her mind about you from the moment she sees you, and will not move from that mindset at all no matter what you tell her.

Incredible Rheumatologist
Dr. Kramer was my Rheumatologist for more than a decade, until I had to move from New York. She is a caring, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable doctor who continues to learn and to teach others. Rheumatology is a hard specialty. It can take some time for patients to get a diagnosis and not every medication works the same for every person. Patients are in pain and most don't have medical degrees - many do not want to listen to medical advice and we are all bombarded by fear and misinformation about treatments. The truth is that Rheumatoid Arthritis is a progressive, and potentially deadly disease that attacks your joints and your soft tissues and organs. It requires real medicine and real care. Dr. Kramer helped me achieve "chemical remission" through medication and provided me nothing but compassionate, knowledgeable care. If you are looking for an incredible Rheumatologist, I cannot recommend her highly enough.

VERY costly and not listening
I went to see Dr. Kramer for a frozen shoulder, she didn't even look at it and I felt she couldn't care less about me as a patient. She sent me to X-ray and gave me a referral list for physical therapists at $350 an hour. That was it. I asked her about the cost of my visit and she dismissed my concern saying: 'you will be fine'. Well, I haven't been 'fine'. The whole, including some analyses, cost me close to 1K with zero improvements in my pain or mobility. I texted her once over lab results and she didn't even bother answering. When I talked to another doctor he immediately told me frozen shoulders get better by themselves over a year and there is nothing that can be done to help. I do not recommend Dr. Kramer unless you are very wealthy or don't mind being expedited after having been milked dry.

You are left not knowing your diagnosis.
She barely examined me before ordering bloodwork. It's been more than two months, and she has not discussed my test results. She does not respond to patient messages. You are left not knowing your diagnosis. Find a doctor that cares.

Stay away from this doctor. She will make you take prescriptions instead of digging deeper into the issue. Not responsive and not helpful, very unpleasant and useless experience.

I waited 90 minutes past my appointment time to see Dr. Kramer. She barely examined me before ordering an MRI. That was six weeks ago and despite numerous messages I cannot get a response from her to review my test results. Don’t waste your time with her.

Dr. Kramer was very thorough and took my diagnose very seriously to bring me closer to a norm. She immediately ordered blood work and saw me a week later. Dr. Kramer is amazing.

For my first appointment with Dr. Kramer I waited two hours and had to leave before I saw her; the desk said she was running late that day due to a difficult patient. I rescheduled for a few weeks later and luckily for me I rescheduled for 8am and didn’t have to wait long. Then, for my followup appointment after my test results came back, I scheduled a 3:20pm appointment. After waiting an hour with no word, I started asking the front desk questions about Dr. Kramer. It turns out that she schedules her appointments every twenty minutes but she typically takes a half hour or more with each patient, so her appointment delays build up over the course of the day. Afternoon patients usually wait an hour or two, and on occasion the wait time can be as long as three hours. When I finally saw Dr. Kramer, 90 minutes late, I asked at the end of my visit why she intentionally overscheduled her calendar. She said she wouldn’t discuss that with me and left the room.

I made an appointment yesterday to become a new patient at Dr. Kramer's 233 location. After making this appointment I received 3 phone calls from the NYU Langone office asking me to verify that I would be seeing a rheumatologist. At no point on these calls did they mention that I needed to be sure I have physical paperwork proving that I have lupus (labs, medical Hx). I took off from work to see her and the first thing the nurse asks for is a copy of my labs. I told her I don't have any physical

I went to see Dr. Kramer for a blood test to determine if I had auto immune disease. I thought the office experience was good ; however, after the test came back negative I called her office to talk to her about follow up care. I left messages with her secretary and answering service over 3 weeks and she never returned my calls . I made one last call and the secretary said Dr. Kramer apologized but she would call me that evening. Need I say she never called. What kind of medical care is this?
