Excellent coomunication
I am a retired nurse and have several endocrine issues. Dr. Penquite took time to explain better than any other health care professional. She also shared my options. Most important she gave me hope that eventually I will feel better.I cant say enough good about her! Typically I'm picky lol. She exceeded my expectations! A big thank you goes to her.

Diabetes management
Dr Penquite has an incredible 'bed-side manner' as the old saying goes. Translated for today she is assiduously competent, empathetic, listens carefully, and is incredibly articulate! I am very pleased with her care. She assists me with my Type 1.5 LADA diabetes management.

OK...
The visit was OK, I've experienced worse. She talks fast and her listening skills basic. She may hear a question, answers quickly, yet it may not be addressing what you need; then moves on not really present to whether she answered you or not. Maybe it's the system, forcing her to race from one appointment to another, not sure. I'm an older adult and I do better with a slower pace. I tried to reach up to her level but it was exhausting. I got most of my concerns addressed so I left the less critical ones unaddressed. The one difficulty I found was using the medical portal with Banner, I rarely was responded to, even when asking multiple times the same question. It felt like I was writing into a black hole. The site disclosed the message was read but no one bothered to respond and some of the questions were time-sensitive. That isn't on her but it takes away from good care in my opinion, with respect to follow-up. What is the point of a message board if you're ignored?

She refused to be my doctor because I was using a pharmacist who knows my medication very well. On my the last appointment with her she was very rude to me that made me cry as thought I was being attacked.

Lacking
.. in competence, personality and ethics. Submitted such an incompetent blood test request I ended up having to pay $250 that was rejected only due to her lack of knowledge. Didn't help me at all... she just did not know enough. Suggested several unnecessary and very expensive procedures too...
