Lovely Doctor
Dr. Mirocha was great. She throughly explained how the thyroid works. Even drew a basic picture. She was kind and listened very well. She spent at least 40 minutes with me and even told me how to make Kale chips. Great experience. I will continue to see her. I was told she was not very friendly but I did not experience that at all. Again we could all be kinder to everyone in this period of time! Doctors are people too and are allowed a bad day!

Pragmatic and Approachable
I am presently seeing the NP under Dr. Sarah Mirocha, but I was a patient of Dr. Mirocha's since 2010. As far as endocrinologists, she's pretty conventional in that treatment aim is to put TSH within reference range; however, I did appreciate that she would test not only TSH, but also Free and Total T3 and T4. She's pretty pragmatic and approachable. She knew that I felt best with a TSH between 1 and 2 (which is the range of 90% of the population without a thyroid problem) and she worked to help me get there. Like most people, she may have off days, but overall, my experiences with her care were good.

I’m a twenty year thyroid cancer patient. Dr Mirocha has been a Godsend. Professional, highly intelligent and a sparkling personality. Her compassion is readily apparent.

Poor attitude, she seemed upset to see a new patient. Right off the bat she said thyroid issue wasn't at fault for my pain, fatigue and memory issues. Wasn't listening to my symptoms just told me labs were in "normal" range and very condescending towards me when I asked questions and if she could run certain labs to find out if body wasn't converting medication correctly. Very upset afterwards and had a horrible experience at this provider! Only positive was her nurse, very friendly.

I recently moved and had to change endocrinologists. Dr. Mirocha was attentive and listened to my symptoms related to thyroid and peri-menopause, but treats blood levels only, not patient symptoms. I am left with insomnia, poor temperature regulation, excessive hair loss, with no relief from these symptoms. Work is exhausting and I barely function. I will be seeking out~and paying out-of-pocket for~a doctor who will offer some relief from these symptoms and not treat "blood levels only".
