Dr. Sathyamurthy Viswanath, MD

Dr. Viswanath has been my Primary Care Physician for about 20 years now. That alone should say something about I have and continue to be pleased to be under his care. He is an excellent doctor, who always takes the time to listen to his patients. He is always friendly and willing to discuss treatment options.Recently, I went to see him about some recently developing issues. He decided that I needed to be hospitalized immediately. He had staff call for an ambulance from nearby Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. After about two hours of staff calling repeatedly, still no ambulance. His practice had closed and we were in a dilemma. Dr. Visesnath then drove me to the hospital, got me through Security and into the ER in less than a minute. He provided ER staff with documentation about my condition.To say that Dr. Viswanath went “above and beyond” would be an understatement.I feel blessed to have him as my doctor.

This man treats us so well. My husband and I both go to him. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a personal care doctor. He has helped us both take better care of ourselves. He listens and gives the best advice. I feel so comfortable going to him. I do feel he and his staff go above and beyond..better than family...love this doctor!!

I feel very confident in Dr. Viswanath and staff. He is extremely thorough and open to inquiries about my health. My husband also is a patient and I have referred several people to him who are now patients.

Dr. Viswanath is an excellent doctor. He follows best practices in his medical care. I have diabetes and he makes sure my cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure are good to reduce my risk of heart disease. He makes sure I get the immunizations I need on schedule, such as flu shot, pneumonia, shingles, and tetanus. I never wait longer than about 10 minutes in his office.

I found him to be Very insincere and had a troubling time dealing with this dr. Found a new dr that's much nicer and more caring than this man!

Dr. Viswanath has been my physician for around 9 years now. He has been an outstanding doctor and has never steered me wrong, no matter the issue. He is very easy to talk to, very attentive, and very knowledgeable. I would fully recommend him for anyone looking for a primary care physician.

I've been a patient of Dr. Viswanath for a good 10 years because he's a very good Internist. He's very knowledgeable, caring and doesn't make you feel rushed once in the exam room. He listens well and actually cares about his patients. He's very personable and has an easy going demeanor. He's one of the few Doctors out there today in this area that actually cares about his patients well being, and that's important to me!
