A potential cancer spot
I have been a patient for years. I called to see Dr Dyson to set Apointment for a spot( potential skin cancer needed immediate treatment).pointed out to me by my skin care technician. Told them she burned it off but needed further treatment. I have a yearly appointment set up for April and they wouldn’t set an earlier appointment even though I told them the gravity. Told me I needed a biopsy but they are the one that do it so I don’t have one. It is amazing the lack of concern by the people working there. I like Dr Dyson and feel like she is very good but her employees have no people skills or compassion.

She actually lifted her finger up in the air to interrupt me at some point to say "I only consider one issue at a time. If you want to discuss X, make another appointment." The second issue I tried to raise, as several other doctors have since told me, is closely related to the issue I saw her for. I left her office in tears, because I was dealing with a really painful situation. So much for even the vaguest attempt at holistic medicine. I understand doctors are pressured for time by insurance companies, but this was not only rude and unprofessional, but also just bad medicine. I'm a professor who bends idiotic university rules and extends office hours well beyond what I should to help my students in need, and I make about 1/20 of what she does. No sympathy from me.

I don't normally post reviews but felt the need. I started going to Dyson Dermatology a few years back due to a cyst that was causing me neck pain. They had me return several times, look at it, come back in a few months. This went on, and so did the pain. Last year it surfaced and drained, but the pain was still there. I was told by Dr Dyson, very smugly, to go get the pain checked out it wasn't the cyst. I went and got xrays and other tests, all negative,, my doctor finally told me to go to a different dermatologist. This morning I went to Specialists in Dermatology, and in 2 minutes, they determined I have a cyst that needs to be removed, and have scheduled a surgery. Of course I do. What?? I suffered for years listening to Dr. Dyson and her team. And her smug attitude makes it even worse. Only I know the pain, talking down to me as if I don't know what I feel, making me spend time and money on unnecessary tests, made it bad enough. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone.

I never met the doctor, instead, I was seen by her PA, Pat, and the experience was awful. I became emotional with her diagnosis and was met with zero empathy. She literally asked why I’d be upset, since there were worse conditions. Secondly, I was told to do lab work and after numerous calls, over a TWO month period, finally received my results. Had I not called, would I have even received them? The front desk staff was absolutely rude during my brief interaction. I would never recommend this office to anyone.

Likelihood of recommending anyone to Dyson Dermatology is ZERO. It is not a dermatology treatment center, it is a factory where patients moved through asap. My wait time was over two hours. Missed another appointment. Called back, was seen by a PA for 5 minutes who wasn't sure what condition was. Dr. finally came in after another wait, spent 5 minutes. Made a suggestion for meds which didn't work and charged an outrageous amount for 10 minutes work and had no effect on condition.

We had just moved to Green Valley and we needed a good dermatologist and feel very fortunate to have found a great one. She is a caring and professional physician who cares for her patients. We have recommended her to a number of our friends.

Dr. Dyson is easily the best dermatologist I have been to, and I have been to many. I have had a few surgeries for skin cancer, and she was recommended by another dermatologist who said Dr. Dyson was an expert who is actually trained to read skin cancer biopsies. She put me at ease and was thorough with her explanations and follow-up. This is a real expert, so if you have a serious condition I recommend this doctor. If you have a pimple, you could probably see a less highly-sought after doctor

Arriving at 10:00 am for a 10:15 appointment, the waiting room was stacked up with people. Another patient/customer loudly said she had already been waiting 1/2 hour. One of the ladies at the front desk informed another person that Dr. Dyson was already 30 minutes behind (truth be told, probably much more behind). Again, this was at 10:15 in the morning! Important as it was to discuss my skin cancer surgery, there was no point to wasting my morning away so I left. I won't ever go back, ever!

After seeing the Physician assistant got 2 minutes with the doctor. She decided that my rash and itching were an allergic reaction. Was told I'd be given a prescription for a steroid cream. I left at 9 am. Went to Walgreen at 2 pm. No prescription. Doctors office now said they might not have until the end of the day. Pharmacy didn't have it until 10 next day. 2 weeks another Doctor told me I had obvious bed bug bites. I got 2 weeks worth of bites without knowing this. Not recommended.

I have held off writing this but, without a doubt, this is the WORST experience I have EVER had dealing with medical care...and I was a nurse for years! You call the office and immediately, put on hold. Then tortured with that continual playing of can music and then given promises of a return phone call to speak to someone above the office help, but it DOES NOT HAPPEN!! I would NEVER recommend this office despite my CONSTANT ITCHING from Lichen Planus!

This is by far the WORST dermatologist I've ever gone to. They're unresponsive, never return calls or emails and the staff is EXTREMELY rude. There are constant complications with prescriptions. I found the staff and Dr.Dyson to be condescending, and belittling. Simply terrible patient care.

Dr. Dyson was the most inconsiderate, rude and least knowledgeable doctor I've ever seen. She was in and out of the room in 5 minutes and failed to answer any of the questions and concerns I had. There are way better dermatologists in Tucson so don't waste your time on a Doctor that won't spend any of hers on you.
