Dr. Seth Shifrin, MD

Incomplete evaluation and wrong diagnosis. I went to Dr. Shifrin because he is a top doctor according to Westchester magazine and had good ratings for a hip injury after an intense hike. He did not even give me an X-ray ( standard protocol I learned). He diagnosed me with hip flexor tendonitis and sent me to 8 weeks of physical therapy, another fail. Fast forward 2.5 years later, after doing the PT exercises, adding yoga, and rolling out my hip, I went to another doctor who at least did an X-ray and prescribed an MRI. Long story short the trama to my hip turned into advanced osteoarthritis and I need a hip replacement. Maybe this could have been prevented if he gave me the standard X-ray. Anyway poor diagnosis and poor outcome. No, I do not recommend this doctor. In fact, I would recommend that you avoid all of the orthopedic surgeons at Optum Mount Kisco, NY office.

My experience with Dr. Shifrin was incredible. My office visit couldn’t have been easier with a short wait time and x-rays right down the hall. Dr. Shifrin was very knowledgeable, kind and patient. He explained my back issues to me and we reviewed next steps. I can’t recommend him enough.

Dr. Shifrin is a true professional and worked great with both my children...yes I said both children - who had bad knees.

Dr Shifrin is amazing. I have been his patient for years but somehow only now leaving a review. I guess I just really want to support him in some way, because he has helped me so much. He is so intelligent, but equally kind, *respectful*, *gentle,* thoughtful, and just all-around capable. All so incredibly important, especially when you are feeling at your most vulnerable. I am so lucky to have found him. Thanks, Dr. Shifrin, for your excellent care for the last few years!! I am so grateful!
