I had a heart attack, Dr Halim and his team saved my life. I had several stents in my Chest minutes after arriving at ER. That was almost 5 years ago. Thank you Lord for Dr Halim

Salesman
I was shocked by Dr. Halim's lack of focus on my care during our appointment. Instead of addressing my needs and concerns he spent an inordinate amount of time touting his own skills and accomplishments in performing various cardiac procedures. It felt like a sales pitch with Dr. Halim boasting about success rates and trying to impress me with technical prowess. Meanwhile my questions and concerns were glossed over or ignored altogether.I didn't feel like a patient; I felt like a potential customer. The experience was frustrating and alienating and left me wondering if this doctor prioritizes patient care or just his own ego.

Dr. Halim is the BEST.
Anyone leaving bad reviews of Dr. Halim really need to check themselves. I've never had better care from a doctor! He's compassionate, has a wonderful sense of humor and has never, ever treated me badly. As for the 'text message' during a visit - he is a doctor on call for cardiac emergencies - of course he's going to check his texts to see if it's an emergency. What babies you all are.

Bad experience
I was referred here when my doctor retired. Long story short, 3 months later I had to find another cardiologist.Office staff is friendly but communication skills are subpar. Phone calls and messages often go unreturned. It's unacceptable to wait days or even weeks to get a reply. If you value a doctor patient relationship that is built on trust, respect, and open communication I would advise exploring other options.

Rude, with no respect or empathy. This was the final straw, I will never go back to Presbyterian for anything.

Dr. Halim seemed frustrated and annoyed answering questions. I felt very uncomfortable the entire time my husband was in his care. While speaking with him I was visibly upset and he harshly told me to calm down, then he had the temerity to pause so he could answer a text message mid conversation. If you have a choice, I would choose literally any other cardiologist in the area.

Atrocious bedside manner
My husband went in for an emergency myocardial infarction procedure and we were saddled with this doctor as he was the only one on call overnight. He made a bad experience so much worse with arrogance and rudeness, seemed offended whenever we asked a question. He brushed off my concerns and behaved like a tyrant towards the rest of the staff. My husband said he would rather risk his life driving to a different hospital if he had it all to do over.

Loads of Gratitude
My cup runneth over with gratitude for Dr. Halim and the amazing team that saved my husband’s life. Their professional and compassionate approach put my heart at ease and concerns in perspective as they helped me to establish a level of confidence and trust at a most critical time. Dr. Halim is remarkably skilled, understanding, accessible and informative, and has demonstrated these qualities from the time of our arrival at the hospital through discharge and beyond. We are so very grateful to you.

Dr. Halim fixed another doctor's collapsed stent .
Dr. Halim fixed a serious problem, as my dad had a stent collapse that was inserted by another doctor. The collapsed stent was in a difficult position in a vein graft artery, a much trickier artery to work with than a native artery and the stent collapse was in a part of the artery whereby the artery made a turn and not straight. Dr. Halim fixed this on Oct. 8, 2020 and it's now June 11, 2022 and dad is still doing great. He's 86 years old.

My mother in law was admitted to Presbyterian last month after being brought in by ambulance for A-fib w/ RVR. She is currently wearing a heart monitor and was provided with an appointment on October 19th. Yesterday I was called by an staff member and told my appointment was cancelled. The doctor was now not available. Obviously upset I continued to ask why I had been given an appointment with a provider that had no interest in caring for my mother in law, didn't care about her new onset heart condition, and not worth his time. The assistant was rude, told me it was not her fault, and I was then offered another appointment in DECEMBER! I obviously do not want to see this doctor, he has already shown he does not care about my mother in law or her heart. I now have to wait until the end of November to be seen with another doctor and I'm sure this one will be cancelled also. Why should we keep our insurance with Presbyterian when the provider doesn't care about the patient?

We were concerned when our excellent cardiologist moved. After studying the profiles of other cardiologists in the group, we decided to try Dr. Halim. What an excellent choice that was! Very thoughtful, thorough, insightful, spent a lot of time getting to know us, our health history, and our goals. We are extremely comforted to have him on our side as we meet the challenges of changing cardiac conditions.
