i've been with her for nearly 7 years now (im finally free!), and while she was very helpful for me when i was a child (she pushed me a lot), she completely oversteps boundaries and has not respected me as an 22-year-old functioning adult. she violated HIPAA by telling my mom of a (very minor!) relapse when i was 20. she has pushed for me to do TMS for 5 years straight, despite being completely stable with the medication that i was on and after very explicitly expressing my discomfort with the procedure many times (it was later that i learned that she has fiscal ties lol). she's almost always late and definitely gets distracted during appointments (going on her phone, etc)-- however it should be said that these instances may very well be emergencies with other patients, since she does see a lot of clients remotely through facetime, phone calls, etc even before the pandemic. tldr; she was a very effective psychiatrist for me as an adolescent, but definitely not as an adult.

Although she served the purpose of what I needed (medication), I did not feel as if she did anything else. I never felt any sort of connection, and always felt as if she was distracted or rushing our sessions. Some days I would have, say, 30 minutes, but she would have me in and out in about 5 minutes. In sessions, I would mention my school, relationships, etc, given that she asked. In following sessions, she would ask me the exact same questions, forget what I answered, etc.

It was a horrible experience today with Dr. Inamdar . First, they kept moving the appointment dates for 4 times. Due to Dr. Inamdar's meeting etc. or taking a vacation. I brought my 14 yr old son to her, hoping she will be the solution to tame my son's rough, abusive, controlling, manipulating behaviours and disrespectfulness to me and to his peers especially females classmates. She talked to my son alone first, then she called me telling my son that it's ok to disrespect your mom,??? NUTS .

My appointment was scheduled with Dr. Inamdar but less than 24hrs before I got a call from them stating that they had to change it and have me scheduled with a new doctor. I think it is unprofessional to cancel appt last minute and then schedule it with a completely new doctor in the practice. I think this is an issue given the nature of problem that these doctors try to address. First of all it is difficult to make up you mind to go to them and then these changes!

The reason for the 1 star rating is for the billing method that their office uses. They require to have a card on file for them to automatically charge for visits, which is fine, but keep a close eye on what is being charged. Usually you will not see a receipt in the mail and will not be informed of charges. If you decide to change the card on file, follow up on it because the billing person will more than likely not update that on file.
