Dr. Sherif Shamaa, MD

Dr. Sherif Shamaa is in the wrong profession. I went to the northeast Baptist presenting with symptoms of a sore throat and pain which I advised him. He then said, oh you have the flu and I said I've had the flu before and this does not feel like the flu then he says the flu can present in different ways including diarrhea. What a joke. He had not even done the flu test yet which came out negative by the way. I'm in shock over his complete lack of professionalism and carelessness.

I saw Dr. Shamaa in the emergency room at the DT Baptist Hospital. He has extremely poor bedside manners. He did not listen to my symptoms, & had formed his own opinion of what was wrong with me. When he could not successfully treat me for the abscess that he had IMAGINED me to have, he FINALLY did hear me. BUT his response was What do you want me to do about it? He ordered my discharge papers and released me UNTREATED for my original complaints. I had to go to another hospital! Unbelievable!!
