Very much recommend- Great Listener
Telehealth
Dr. Cole always listens to my opinion and is optimistic regardless of the circumstances. It’s great to have a Doctor that is non-judgmental, as well as establishing a great professional therapeutic relationship. He goes above and beyond to make sure the medication prescribed is effective. He is also very GOOD at diagnosing, prescribing meds that work, and educating me in regards to medication management. My ADD is managed now and I am able to go back to school because of PAKC and Dr. Cole.

Incompetent Doctor
He misdiagnosed as a schizophrenic, and gave me medication per that diagnosis. I became suicidal because of the medication he put me on. Since he couldn't determine what I was suffering from, he had one of his colleagues talk to me. His colleague properly diagnosed me as having OCD. Dr Cole also prescribed klonopin to me and kept prescribing me more and more of it until I was completely hooked on it. Klonopin is very addictive and eventually I had to be hospitalized because it was ruining my life. I filed a complaint with the KANSAS STATE BOARD OF HEALING ARTS against him and they found proper justification to do an investigation. They told me that the most he would receive is a reprimand because it takes several complaints before any serious action is taken. I believe that if others would have filed complaints after their ill fate while being under his care that he might have lost his license. Please don't see this doctor or allow others that you care about see him.

Definitely recommend!!!
I’ve been a patient of Dr Coles for about 10 years, and he’s really amazing! He portrays understanding, and genuine empathy for the struggles of my daily life. He listens when I have any suggestion about medications etc that most in his field would simply disregard as if I know nothing. Dr Cole is very respectful, and genuine! Happy to be one of his patients!

Dr. Cole is a horrible doctor. This doctor and I use the word losely cause me to give my child to overdose. At the appointment I told him a certain medication was not helping my child which he was to take one pill at a time but he then told me to give him 3 or 4 at one time!!! I repeated it to him at least 4 times asking him is it safe to give my child that amount at one time he said yes and my child is my witness who is a teenager to this. I ended up having to take my child to the ER because he made my child overdose. My child is doing fine but this doctor is horrible. Please find a doctor that listen to you and one who cares. This is the WORST DOCTOR!!!!!!!

Dr. Cole has very little knowledge of psychiatry, at least from what I’ve seen. The medicines he prescribed me caused me to have serotonin syndrome, and when I asked him about my symptoms (which were quite painful and, in some cases, debilitating), he told me to wait it out for another month. Serotonin syndrome can be deadly if not treated, and the fact that a nurse practitioner I went to a week later could figure out what I had before a licensed psychiatrist shows just how horrible Dr. Cole is. Not to mention, he is not very empathetic, and does not have any sense of people skills. I wouldn’t refer him to my worst enemy.

Dr. Cole takes his time and listens to all of my problems, and then he spends as much time as is needed to find out the best way to help me. He doesn’t rush me out after ten or fifth teen minutes, he takes as much time as he needs.

At first i wasn't sure abt Dr. Cole, and my sister who put it into perspective for me. He's a psychiatrist. He's not their to be warm and fuzzy, if you want that go to a therapist. He's got to ask some hard questions to determine what's going on and a diagnosis. I was on quite a few meds, and he looked at me and said they don't seem to be helping so why are you still taking them? Sense then I have gained a whole new respect for Dr. Cole. He is the only psych who has ever done ne thing for me.

Over an 8 day stay he saw me for a very short time each day. He at times did not look at me as he mumbled. I could not understand him, He never contacted my family about my progress. The Rx He gave me when I went home was not needed, and a few days later one of his associates changed it. Even my pharmacist questioned why I was given his Rx. I would not see him again.

He saw my Dad as an inpatient for 2 weeks. He had been admitted for paranoia and agitation after having been seen by another doctor in has practice. His meds were changed the day he was released to a nursing home, which the nursing home dr said was inexcusable. It was nearly impossible to talk to Dr. Cole, I tried to reach him many times during the hospital stay, but I didn't hear from him until the day he was released. This is inexcusable. My dad died two months later.
