Flat Affect, Cold & Blunt
I went for my first ultrasound after and Dr. Meredith was really straight to the point and short with her responses. There wasn’t any light convo/small talk to build rapport and when she gave me the bad news that she could not detect a heartbeat she was really cold and said it in a really matter of fact kind of way. She did not even attempt to comfort reassure or normalize the fact that I was going to miscarry based on the ultrasound. She literally jumped right into asking if I wanted to take medication or uterus vacuuming to hurry the miscarriage along. I remember asking her what if I just do nothing and just let my body miscarry naturally and she said tissue can be left behind and cause infection. I was instantly terrified. Not only did she just tell me I’m going to miscarry but now I’m visualizing my uterus being vacuumed and infection. It was absolutely overwhelming and I felt pressured to decide what to do next. She did not even fake an ounce of empathy whatsoever.

Dr. Merideth is one of the most uncaring doctors I have ever encountered. I used to seek out women doctors just because I had the naive belief that women would be more sympathetic to women’s health but I have been proven wrong. I went in for an early ultrasound around 7 weeks and she said “There’s no heartbeat. There should be a heartbeat.” The way she delivered the news was flat, flippant, and unsympathetic. She said that it was most likely a miscarriage but that she’s “been wrong before”. Then she said that I should have STD tests done…the woman just finished telling me that I had miscarried but that she could also be wrong, and she implied that due to my geriatric age of 35, I had poor egg quality so it is common to have miscarriages from chromosomal issues. I was receiving all the information calmly and both my partner and I wanted to stay hopeful since it was early. But, Dr. Merideth seemed intent on us leaving dejected.

I concur with the other reviews on rude office staff and dr doesn’t care to treat you, only Looks at you as dollar signs. I had terrible experiences at her office, overcharged me and made me sign prepayment contracts prior to treatment and didn’t bill insurance or do it properly. I’m owed a bunch of refunds and of course, she’s been terminated at the facility. Stay away!

The staff is unfriendly, the doctor does not share important information unless you raise a question to her. The only good thing was the less wait time. Had a painful delivery experience.

5 Stars! I had my second office visit ... I took a gamble and this one was a winner! I loved the one-on-one service I received, and I truly felt Dr. Merideth cares. She took time with me and listened and researched for me. She took the time to explain many things and many situations that I really needed to hear. I really appreciate her and this visit.

Horrible, uncaring staff that needs to grow a heart if they are going to work with pregnant women. I would give no stars if I could.
