Multiple bad experiences
While Dr Zhu may be an expert headache care, she is very impatient, she does not listen to you even when you are trying to answer a question she has asked, and she will interrupt you mid-sentence to move onto another question even when she repeats your answer back incorrectly to you. She shows no empathy, compassion or respect toward you. She has very poor communication skills and blames the patient when there has been a misunderstanding or when she has forgotten some aspect of care or medical history. Find someone else - her expertise are not worth the disrespect you will experience.

So lucky to have found Dr Zhu!!
I’ve been a patient of Dr Zhu’s for approximately 2 years. I have a history of chronic migraines. I have had nothing but positive and helpful experiences with her office and staff. They are fabulous. Dr. Zhu is the first neurologist to take the frequency and intensity fully into account. I always feel heard and in acute situations she has twice called me in the evening and called scrips in well past 6pm to speed up my relief.

Meanest most impatient doctor I have ever seen
Dr zhu is truly the most despicably impatient doctor I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. She does not care about you. She does not care about your health. All she cares about is getting you out of her exam room so she can see her next patient. Everything she does is in service of this one goal: Seeing more patients so she can make more money. She is insensitive. Does not listen. Cuts you off constantly. Is rude. Does not respond at all to messages. Completely disregards the realities of insurance when making her care plans. She is the absolute worst of the worst. She doesn’t listen. She doesn’t care. Truly I have never hated a doctor, but I hate doctor zhu. Avoid her like you avoid the plague. Go to any other doctor. She should not practice medicine on anyone with a pulse.

Would NOT Recommend.
She has horrible bedside manner and is one of the least sensitive doctors I've ever met. I didn't feel safe asking questions. My S.O., who came with, and I agreed she was unprofessional and made the questions I asked very personal. I was asking about the side effects of a medication she recommended. She said that this is normally for those with epilepsy, and may help the migraines I had. I was wondering if there are effects to watch out for if I, who is not epileptic, take this medication. She twitched her eyes intensely and said, 'Why would you even ask that question?' And blamed my anxiety as a reason of why I would ask and that she wouldn't prescribe this if it was going to cause epilepsy. She also blamed my anxiety for exacerbating my symptoms. For the past two years, other doctors told me to start taking notes on my health; when I tried sharing these notes with her, she said my anxiety is causing me to be more aware of my symptoms, and I need to learn how to tune out my tinnitus.

Dr. Zhu is truly exceptional!! I have a complex medical history, and Dr. Zhu spent about an hour with me discussing all possible causes of headache for me and collaboratively deciding the best way to move forward. She addressed all of my questions and concerns and shared information in an understandable but comprehensive manner. She was also highly responsive to a follow-up question that I had after our appointment. I am beyond grateful for the exellent care that I received from Dr. Zhu! Excellent
