Have a problem? Get a different doctor
I left the care of Dr Allport because I was so tired never getting anything resolved.I had suffered through 3 colonoscopy preps and each time I wasn’t clean enough for the test. Each time I took the same prep and it was a failure. Though all the years I was a patient of Dr Allport, I never, got to see him in his office. I think he’s only interested in seeing his patients immediately before and after a procedure That's where the money is. His PA was useless. My new Dr fixed me in one visit. My persistent constipation was resolved! His office had to call over and over to get my records. Dr. Allport is fine as long as there's no problem. I was abandoned by him. After telling his officeI had a new Dr. I was scheduled for colonoscopy. And 2 days before Dr Allport's office called me trying to schedule me for my 4th colonoscopy within 12 months! That's how inefficient that office is! The new Dr gave me a different prep and I had a colonoscopy on Friday. I had 4 polyps removed.

After being a patient of Dr. Allport for 12 years, I cannot find a new gastroenterologist fast enough! I will have to go out of town. After severe exacerbation of GERD, nausea and diarrhea for 6 mo., and 25# loss, I was diagnosed with C dif.Went through 2 months of antifungal/antibiotic tx and resulting 3 rounds of yeast infection therapy. Everything thru phone tag with med assist. He never notified me personally. I was labeled uncooperative 2x and reported 2 my PVP. I was neglected/abondoned

Dr. Allport's bedside manner is the best I have ever experienced. While in the office for my first colonoscopy and endoscopy, he treated me like his only patient and was very comforting all while remaining very professional.
