Awesome Doctor
Dr Gardner was referred to us on 2018 when my Son's VP SHUNT failed after 40 years being in place. He did an excellent job putting in a new one and after a year my son contracted an ileus in his gut which caused an infection in his shunt. After a 4 months stay in the hospital we finally came home. He was so caring and treated him like family. I love Dr Gardner

Scary experience made better by caring doctor…
I don’t know that I have ever interacted with a finer doctor. Dr. Gardner has an excellent bedside manner coupled with all the medical experience to support patients in what can be very stressful situations. We met him at Greenville Memorial following some significant epidural issues during labor and delivery and the diagnosis of a minor brain bleed and he put us at ease and spoke to us in a way that was understandable and respectful. Could not be more thankful to have had him on our care team, and I know I am one of many when I see the reviews here.

Our visit was in 1986. My husband was 26 and we found out he had a brain tumor. Thru a random recommendation for a good surgeon we got an appointment with Dr Gardner. There is not enough space fir me to say all the good things or experience we had with Dr Gardner. He is the best neurosurgeon as well as a wonderful human being. He cared for my husband as a person and stressed to us that my husbands well being was top priority even though we did not have insurance. He is the best in our opinion! We always recommend him to everyone!

Rude, no bedside manner, spoke to me in a very unprofessional way after I was late to my appointment due to being in a car accident. My back surgery went awry and he was very rude to me regarding fixing it. I've never seen a doctor who was so unprofessional and spoke down to me and even to my family.

Dr. Gardner was running late due to a hospital emergency. However, Sandy kept the patients updated and Dr. Gardner personally let us know when he had returned. I have previously written a review and have not changed how I feel about his care and treatment of patients. I have been going to him since 1985 and he has performed numerous successful surgeries on me.

I would recommend anyone who has any neuro needs to visit Dr. Gardner. He did my first ACDF surgery in 2014 and I was extremely pleased with it. He will be doing another one on me here in the next couple of weeks. All if the office staff us friendly except for the financial lady Jamie. She was very rude to me on the phone and then got mad when she found out that Dr. Gardner was writing off 9 grand worth of fees for me so that I didn't have to pay anything up front to have my second surgery done

Snide comments, talks down to patient, no bedside manner, treated us like we were bothering him when we were referred to him (we didn't ask for the referral), left office without finishing the appointment, then he confronted me in the lobby about what he did wrong.
