Absolutely the BEST!
Dr. Stephen Hatfield and his staff are simply fabulous. There is a welcoming warmth and genuine caring that fills the office all the time. Surgically Dr.Hatfield is nothing short of a miracle worker. He performed surgeries on each of my shoulders in 2017 which corrected my shoulder issues beautifully with zero scarring. Today is 6 days from my right TKR surgery with an 83 degree bend already and a very tidy incision I'm confident will scar nominally. Most importantly I can feel the knee actually working like a knee should work. He is magically with his surgical skill-you will never find anyone better to trust your arthritis or injuries with. I seriously would not have the life I do without the commitment of Dr. Hatfield to my health for well over a decade now. I am looking forward to getting this left knee replaced in December!!

As of, 1/26/21, it will have been two weeks since my surgery. I had arthroscopic surgery due to meniscus tears in my left knee. At the very least, I hoped it would hurt less, but this surgery exceeded my expectations! I didn’t even dare hope for the amazing results I have experienced! I swear, Dr. Stephen Hatfield, is a wizard! My knee feels 200% better. There is not even the slightest trace of the pain I was in before! Yes, for the 1 on 1, he’s like any other surgeon I’ve dealt with, talks quickly, seems hurried, & is in & out of the room before you can form a question. Not a complaint, just an FYI. He did visit me before my surgery, & answered all of my questions. I have no complaints at all! I had my follow up appointment on 1/25/21, removed my stitches, & offered PT to help me gain full mobility. My recovery, apparently, was remarkable, as I had already gained full mobility. Would wholeheartedly recommend him to everyone!

I have been seeing Dr. Hatfield at East Mesa Orthopedics & Sports Medicine for almost two years now for treatment of osteoarthritis pain and complications. He performed surgery to remove a cyst behind my right knee cap last December, and cleaned up a tear in the meniscus of my left knee this month. I have had excellent results from the December surgery (restored mobility and pain elimination) and expect the same of this second surgery. Dr. Hatfield is very professional, knowledgeable, and has a nice office manner. His staff is always welcoming, kind, and helpful. I recommend Dr. Hatfield and his office to anyone suffering with joint injuries and arthritis pain.

Dr. Hatfield diagnosed my knee damage accurately and performed arthroscopic surgery excellently. My only complaint was that he kept prescribing Vicodin. I tore up the prescriptions in his office each time. I appreciate his awareness that my knee pain was real and significant, but for some patients, opiate painkillers are too dangerous.
