Dr. Stephen Sloan, MD

I originally bought a card for Dr. Sloan to say Thank You but leaving a review is more effective. I had stopped in a while ago for a surgery clearance and was expecting a PA. I was surprised and happy when Dr. Sloan walked in. I immediately remembered him from when he put my heart monitor in. Although I was running in low gear that day, Dr. Sloan most definitely was not. Here is what he did: at the outset, he connected with me PERSONALLY. We chatted about my recent cataract surgery and his elective. He told me I could wear a contact lens. (Thx!) Then he really got to work. He reviewed about ten different items and ordered the ECHO. The most important thing he did was look at my genetically high cholesterol and DOUBLE the statin! I was SO grateful. I know it is 'all in a day's work' for a GOOD doctor but this is how my brother died in his sleep (with both heart and breathing problems) and I'm wondering if Dr. Sloan didn't save my life. He thinks very fast. Keep up.

I saw him after nearly passing out, second time in the hospital in a week. He was curt, and agitated. I was made to feel like a hypochondriac. A ventricle ablation was done. Four days latter I was feeling very ill, weak, dizzy and having fluttering in my chest again but worse. I put off calling his office because of the original interview treatment. long story short I was having runs of ventricular tachycardia between Bi-germinal beats. His partner told me to be driven to the ER (911 if need be) for the forth time in as many weeks. A defibrillator/pacer was put in. Explanations were never constant across the doctors of the practice and the structure of the practice was to head off PTs. with a wall CRNs. I'm done with this practice I have no confidence in it after a 20 year affiliation.

I found him to be patient and courteous, gave full and concise explanations regarding the problem and made recommendations for treating the problem without involving surgery. I would definitely recommend this Doctor.

Have been a patient of Dr Sloan's for about 15 years, always thorough and consistently excellent

Dr. Sloan has been my 'lead' cardiologist for 17 years at Central bucks Cardiology, now called Doylestown Health Cardiology. My satisfaction is 1000%. Thru 3 multiple stent procedures and a triple bypass he was my guide who kept me going by staying on top of my condition, monitoring my medications and all the necessary leadership that goes with it. My cardio history is hereditary and I had my 1st heart attack at 40 years old, and am now 68. The surgeries were done by other specialists in the group of course. I haven't found a specialist and/or any other practice where the oversight and concern is anything like the guidance and treatment I get from Sr. Sloan and his team.

Both my husband and myself have been a patient of Dr. Sloan for the past 5 years. We have tremendous confidence in his care. He is a very thorough--compassionate doctor. He takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes sure we understand before we leave. He also promptly calls us with any test results. We highly recommend Dr. Sloan for any heart care.
