Dr. Steven Goodman, MD

Was referred by a colleague (from the same practice for surgery consult) as PT, cortisone, meds, tens,lidocaine patches&massage therapy hasn’t worked in over 6 months. He Didn’t listen to a word I said.His ortho colleague told me to reduce pt as it was worsening my condition.He tells me to continue. Left hand doesn’t know what the right is doing. He Would not listen to why I hadn’t been to work in over a week.Didn’t care or hear that I am not able to sleep due to the pain and have radiating pain down my forearm&hand twitching preventing me from focusing&typing; he actual told me to adjust my workstation like I have an adjustable desk??!!The man should retire, he is not meant to deal with patients. Went to My neuro to be tested for nerve issues on the same arm &he even advised me to see another ortho!Would NOT recommend to anyone&rethinking about my ortho MD as well as i waited 2 weeks for this appt so he could “be there” and next thing I remind him to come in&he says no &leaves

I was sent it to him , he is just the worst , you can't said anything to him , everything you said , he uses against you , he doesn't care what you feel or how you feel

Avoid at all cost. Does not listen to you, does not care what you have to say or feel. Looks at you as if you were an insect that needed to be eradicated. Should not be in a position he is in! He forgot what the phrase: "first, do not harm" stands for.

The worst doctor so rude, I had surgery with him nightmare

This man disclosed my private medical history and discussed my personal information in a waiting room full of people at Doc Care # 3 in Queens NY. He was complaining about me loudly to the medical assistant in the waiting room, not knowing I was sitting there. When I stood up and said something he told me he was sorry. I have reported him to HR immediatly in person and they said they are making a full report. He admitted it freely to them also. I am waiting to hear back from them.

I went to see Dr. Goodman as my daughter fractured her ankle. She was extremely upset, but Dr. Goodman was very patient with her and managed to make her laugh through the pain. He had excellent bedside manner and the patience of a saint. Didn't hurt that she got to get a hot pink cast as well! While his practice was bustling, he still managed to find the time to give my daughter the attention she so needed. Hopefully no more injuries, but if so, at least I know where to go!

Can't say enough about Dr. Goodman! He was extremely knowledgeable when it came to my neck injury. I was in an extreme amount of pain prior to seeing him. Through his care and guidance I have managed to make a full recovery. He was patient, kind, thorough and experienced. What more could you ask for. If you need an orthopedist, I highly recommend!! P.S. I heard him conversing with another patient in spanish, so apparently bi-lingual too! A++

Dr. Steven Goodman is a caring, dedicated doctor. He listens to your explanation of problems and truly hears what you are saying. He exhausts methods of treatment before and unless surgery is absolutely necessary.

Dr. Goodman is a great doctor. He is very caring of his patients. He makes sure that he tells us what to do to help ourselves. He always listens to everything I say about all my ills. He gives me hope. He is very cheerful and always positive. I have been using him for approximately 20 years. I always feel better after I see him. To me he is the best!

Dr Steven Goodman is an excellent physician. I had a knee replacement, was so scared but he really helped me.

HORRIBLE DOCTOR! Was nice before the surgery and flipped after he ruined my hand and never claimed responsibility. Avoided my appointments and calls, and never gave me a clear cut answer about the problem. He is like Heckle and Jeckle. Avoid at all costs.

He's in a rush. Seemingly with every patient, as I can hear what's going on when he's in the room with other patients. He seems to have good intentions but it seems he's trying to rush you out of the office to see as many patients as possible in a day. For quick things, doctor's notes etc- go to him. If you want someone to give you the care and attention they would give to a family member, do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with Dr. Steven Goodman.

My visit was thru Worker's Comp. Although I came with everything needed, x-rays, medical records, insurance info., etc., this doctor not only insisted on more x-rays, he had the technician do it twice.The doctor didn't read my medical notes and after asking me questions about my condition and previously prescribed medications told me he would prescribe a new medication for me...the same one I just filled three days ago. Still getting a bill meant for Workers Comp. Terrible billing staff.

Although Dr. Goodman is very professional and good, this office is a HORROR!!!!!! Their staff is extremely rude and unorganized. I had two unpleasant visits here. The first was so ridiculous that the managing doctor, Dr.Hecht, had to reprimand the staff right in front of me for their rude, unorganized and unprofessional behavior. Today the older woman behind reception was particularly arrogant. I wish I had taken her name. Very bad for business!!

he didn't have a good bedside manner. he insinuated I didn't do the exercises he gave me (incorrect) he wouldn't let me have any PT and wouldn't refill a Rx, but wanted to see me again. I had seen his partner Dr Mayer (who was much better), but was told he didn't handle my new problem.
