Dr Nelson and team excellent experience
I had a total hip replacement April 25, 2024. I have put this off and lived in pain for five years when I went to see Dr Nelson I knew he was the man for the job. He took the time and explained the procedure and exactly what he would do. Dr Nelson spent the time with me and answered all my questions. Dr Nelson and his entire team was just awesome when the time came the night before surgery Dr Nelson actually checked in with me and touch base just to see if I had any questions and to put my mind at ease , the day of surgery he visited me once again to check in and after surgery he checked in again. This doctor must work 12 hours a day what a doctor what a surgeon. What a perfectionist if you are in need of a hip or knee replacement I would highly recommend Dr Nelson. What a great experience from Dr Nelson and his entire team. Thank you Todd Emanuel.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Nelson’s for 20 years. Having lived in and visited doctors in 14 cities in 8 states I can truly say Dr Nelson is the most caring and professional doctor I’ve visited. He takes time to listen and is cautious in making diagnoses. He has given sound advice and treatment for a variety of ailments including heart disease. I trust him completely and feel he has never made an incorrect diagnosis of my health. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a family doctor.

Unfortunately, I’m unable to select 0 stars! Dr Nelson is the worst doctor I’ve met in 46 years! Good luck getting routine prescriptions filled after a doctors visit that’s paid for unless your okay with waiting a week. The entire office of Northland Family Care could honestly care less about your health or wellbeing. Dr Steve Nelson should get off his lazy and entitled butt and do the healthcare industry a favor by quitting.

Dr Nelson is an excellent doctor, front office staff is rude and abrupt. Think they need more help or better practice management. Got another doctor because it was too stressful dealing with staff.

We have gone to Dr. Nelson for 21 years. He is always caring, takes time with you and always has known just what to do. He never overly diagnoses but takes a very cautious path and gives us all the information. We would never consider going to anyone else.

LWorst Dr. Ive ever been too, I came to become a patient of Dr. Nelson about a year ago after an insurance change. I was with my old primary for many years but he did not take my new insurance. From the bigging I did not feel good about this Dr. Wait times are horrible, staff is cold and incaring, the Dr. is quantity over quality of care, he cannot remember anything about you from visit to visit.

My wife's and my experience is very positive. In one instance my wife needed surgery at the hospital and Dr. Nelson shepherded the whole process from beginning to end, unlike our experience with another physician. This type of care is typical of his in office care also--curious diagnostician, personable, professional. BTW, we also work with the practitioner staff and their work is likewise very good and the entire office, from checkin to check out, is competent and personable.
