I made a telephone appointment with Dr. Reed, and after an hour of waiting and still not having received a phone call, I called his office and they told me he was running behind. I still had received no phone call by the end of the day. I later received a notification saying that he had marked me as a no-show for my appointment.

My wife has been Dr Reed’s patient since 2019 and we have nothing to say but thank you Dr Reed. You have been a wonderful doctor to us. You are patient, thorough, polite, and knowledgeable. We are so sad to learn that you are no longer with UCLA. Both my wife and I will miss you a lot.

I have been seeing Dr. Reed since 2019. I have always found him attentive, professional and thorough. He listens to you and takes his time in diagnosing your symptoms. If a specialist is warranted he sends you to one and keeps helping until your symptoms are taken care of. My daughter also has seen Dr Reed and agrees with me on this.

Dr. Reed is respectful & attentive discussing symptoms or progress of chronic condition, also if i raise questions about related or other issues. He's never dismissive of patients' concerns. when i worried re 'live virus' in flu shot, he explained which immunization safest choice for my age and general health. Thorough in finding cause of problems: ordering tests if needed to determine next step in treatment, his assistants help me with scheduling; and he or they contact me via online portal (or call if urgent) when test results require follow-up. He (and their team) likewise considerate when referring me to a specialist. I can rely upon his judgment, because of his proven care and sense of responsibility. Other patients, via random comment to me in the waiting room, have similarly praised him for these qualities.

This review is delayed, but I think it important to mention as a year after my visit w/ Dr Reed, I am still suffering from chronic migraines after seeing him for the condition. I went to Dr Reed for this issue (over 15 migraines a month). He was very nice, however all he prescribed me was 800 mg ibuprofen (which a doctor later told me should not ever be prescribed, as it is too high a dosage at once) and allergy medicine, which I ultimately could have gotten over the counter. Later, I got a $300 bill from his office. What exactly was this for? The explanation I received was that treatment cost could not be determined prior to a visit. My insurance covered the initial visit - what was the additional treatment that I was being charged for? HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. I eventually went to urgent care because the headaches got so bad. While I cannot generalize how Dr Reed is with his other patients, I seriously don't recommend seeing him if you are seeking proper consideration & treatment.

He was always there at the time of the meeting, even now that he had a video chat. He never was in a hurry, he listens to the patient, he answers every question, if we don’t understand something, he explains it in a different way. What ever problem we had, he found the solution and never ignoring nothing. He is a very good diagnoser, with extraordinary consciousness. Extremely attentive, friendly, helpful on every level. We are lucky with him.

He ignored that I told him I needed follow-up for having lost an organ, and instead gave me referrals I neither needed nor wanted. He does not listen to what you tell him and is very demeaning in his treatment.

Dr. Reed is hello and goodbye in four minutes. He makes a hasty diagnosis and then leaves. The first time I thought he was coming back. He missed a Monday appointment since he was sick. He is moody. My guess is that he has some ipersonal ssues he needs to deal with and I wish him luck. B

He's definitely smart but his bedside manner needs improvement. Previous reviews are true- appointments are as quick as possible. I went to him two times and the second time I saw him he gave me the same advice for my condition that he gave me the first time.... poor listening skills. I asked his advice for a different condition I was struggling with during my second appointment. He prescribed medication without giving me directions on how to apply it. I experienced significant side effects. When I got a second opinion on my condition my new doctor said that the medication I was given is hardly ever used anymore because of its low effectiveness and the side effects I experienced. I understand it can be difficult to stay on top of every new treatment but the two experiences together made me feel like he doesn't care that much.

This is a review for Dr Stuart Reed. Dr. Reed is not really interested in taking care of his patients in the way that I think a doctor should be. He’s very difficult to get on the phone. It’s basically impossible. They will request that you come see the doctor in person so that they can charge for the time. He’s also very evasive in person when you try and Find out how much something is going to cost. It’s clear that the main priority is the money and not the patients. Myself and two other people have had the same experience with Dr. Reed I’m sure they will be leaving reviews here shortly. If you want a Doctor Who is going to make you feel like you were taken care of and that your well-being is a priority you should look elsewhere.

He is a caring kind doctor who doesn't sugar coat anything and always gives you the facts straight up. And if he doesn't know he doesn't posture. Straight to the point and actually takes the time to listen to you, see you, hear you and help you figure out ways to manage your ails while you wait for an answer. Dr. Reed is an A+.
