Anxiety- phone call visits for free several years
Dr. Shipko is the only and best person I have ever spoken to regarding anxiety and PTSD. Everyone interested should read his book "Surviving Panic Disorder"!

I missed an appointment with dr Shipko and he called me back and made some unprofessional comments toward me including calling me a "child". I understand its frustrating for a private practice doctor to miss an appointment without being told beforehand but I was disturbed by the way he chose to talk to me.

Maybe Dr. Shipko has been in this business for so long and he's jaded by all the patients that come in with problems that are just in their head. Whatever it is, you wouldn't expect a psychiatrist to undermine and invalidate all your issues, especially when you're paying him for his time. Dr. Shipko did not take the time to listen to my issues. He was not empathetic at all andade me feel like my issues were stupid and wrong.

Horrible. He has NO clue whatsoever re: what to actually do/say/think re: patient w/ severe depression. **He told me (1) I knew more about MH resources than he did, (2) mental health is all messed up, and (3) go to a movie, This... for deep depression. He's bad. When I saw he has a blog on mad in America, I commented on there just how atrocious he was. Today, someone posted Linus verifying my conclusion -he touts himself as a forensic psychiatrist, but his lack of training clearly showed ...
