Dr. Subhashini Gowda, MD

The BEST Cardiologist This year, my husband and I have been on a difficult medical journey and our only saving grace has been Dr. Gowda! I especially like Dr Gowda because she listens to you, and she makes you feel as though you are her only patient as she gives you 100% of herself. She is a caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional cardiologist. This past year, Dr. Gowda diagnosed my husband with afib. She performed two cardioversions, an ablation and change Her grandmother is looking down on her and she must be so proud.

If Dr. Gowda had not referred me to RWJ Barnabus for additional testing--in spite of a lack of symptoms-- I am reasonably certain my next visit to the hospital would have been for treatment of a heart attack. (My visit to the hospital at Dr. Gowda's recommendation resulted in quadruple bypass surgery.) A few months later she successfully performed a cardiac ablation.Dr. Gowda is a consummate professional, which results in a justified feeling that one is getting the best cardiac care possible.Not to be overlooked is her stellar bedside manner and her genuinely sweet and upbeat personality.

Dr Gowda took the time to explain my recent blood tests and ECG in a way that was very understandable for me. She also coached me how to improve future results and explained what future health issues I could have if I don't make a few adjustments to my diet. With Dr Gowda's assistance I'm able to continue my long distance running.

Dr. Gowda and her team of professionals seem to touch all bases in their care & advise. I feel that Dr. Gowda and her team are sincere and quite thorough in their care and assessment of what is best for me. Questions that I have are answered thoroughly. I feel that every aspect is covered and recommendations are made for my best care. As a result I feel that I have selected the best doctor and team that is truly working for my best interests.

During a routine physical examination, it was discovered that I was in Afib. My family physician recommended Dr Gowda. After evaluation it was recommended that I receive a Cardioversion. After two additional cardioversions, I was scheduled for an Ablation. Dr. Gowda and her staff, Megan S were very friendly and knowledgeable of my condition. Ablation was successful.

Dr. Gowda and her team have done a wonderful job of taking care of my condition. Her attention to detail and her diligence have contributed to my getting my condition under control. I would recommend her and her team to anyone in need of a first class doctor.

Following a bout of Covid, I was diagnosed with A.fib. Severe symptoms, no energy, no endurance, difficulty climbing stairs and generally in constant distress. Following a cardiac evaluation, Dr. Gowda recommended cardiac ablation.Following 6 mths of consideration, chose to proceed. Dr. Gowda did excellent and post ablation saw immediate results in endurance, energy, well being and I didn't believe how amazing the new normal is. I feel younger, better and perform better at work and a new lease on life.

I've had A.fib for many years and had seen two doctors prior to Doctor Gowda and have to say she made me feel extremally comfortable explaining the Ablation procedure to me. I had the procedure done in May of this year and since then have not had any issues I recommend Dr Gowda to any one with A.fib problems.

I had been suffering with SVT for over 18 years, my old surgeon performed 5 cardiac ablations on my during this time, always suggesting I get a pace maker. I finally found Dr. Gowda and she performed the ablation on my and it worked for good! I did my research after so many procedures with my old doctor and found her success rate to be phenomenal!I know many people are unsure about this procedure and the catheterization to get it done, but it is well worth it with Dr. Gowda. Discomfort is minimal and recovery time is quick, driving within several days and exercising again within a week with NO issues and NO concerns. I would highly recommend anyone on the fence about this to get it done with her soon, you will have a better quality of life. I just with I found her 10 plus years ago!

I was in A.fib all the time. I met Dr. Gowda and she was a life saver. After her A.fib ablation, I sleep like a log, breathe better, rest better and I can play football and be active. I have never felt this good in a long time. I feel like a million bucks. Recommend everyone to go see her if they want to take care of their heart. My life has been given back to me by Dr. Gowda.

Dealing with an Afib diagnosis was a scary thing! Dr. Gowda explained the issue and causes clearly so I could understand what was happening... we then discussed a plan and timeline to address it. Cardioversion, Ablation and follow-ups. I was very happy to have Dr. Gowda treating, and supporting, me throughout the procedures and visits. Thank you, Dr. Gowda!

I have been seeing Dr. Gowda for 6 yrs. She is beautiful inside out. She is an excellent compassionate listener. She took excellent care of me when I was admitted and very sick at RWJBH. Had an ablation for A.fib in 2019, which went very well. I have not had any A.fib since after. I have been taken off blood thinner and feel/breathe so much better. I appreciate her a lot. Overall health has never been better since after seeing Dr. Gowda.

I had been having A.fib for a long time. My life was terrible then, everything was not normal. Then I was referred to Dr. Gowda by my cardiologist for an ablation to correct my arrhythmias. My direct impression of her is that she was so confident & definitely knows what she is doing. Very knowledgeable. I had ablation in Sep. 2021. And my A.fib was corrected and its been a year. Now that I had steady regular sinus rhythm, my life is normal again & I can't thank Dr. Gowda enough for her expertise & dedication in the medical field. I sincerely, eternally grateful that I'm back on my feet again.

I was diagnosed w/ A.fib, most likely due to sleep apnea. My primary recommended Dr. Gowda who performed a battery of test to prove my A.fib was am electrical issue & not a mechanical one. Once that was established Dr. Gowda performed a successful cardioversion. However Dr. Gowda highly recommended an ablation be performed. Due to the confidence I have in Dr. Gowda's professional opinion I had the ablation. It's been 2 years and the A.fib has not returned. I have full confidence in Dr. Gowda and would adhere to any medical recommendation she advises for me.

I used to have palpitation since age 17 and progressively worse. In 2015 I started to get so annoyed and it interrupted my regular life. Eventually I met Dr. Gowda and she diagnosed me and scheduled me for an ablation at RWJ. Her care was of the utmost excellence. Post ablation, not another single attack of palpitation and I am more than elated. Dr. Gowda's bedside manners, work skills and outcome were exemplary. I love her and now she also takes care of my mom.

Dr. Gowda is absolutely wonderful !! Based on family history & habits Dr. Gowda ordered CT/Calcium score. The test revealed 4 potential blockages. Cardiac catheterization determined 4 significant blockages. 4 by-passes needed !! Early detection was KEY !! No damage. No heart ATTACK ! Home within 68 hours of surgery. Thanks to Dr. Gowda. I could not have asked for a better outcome !!

Dr. Gowda explains everything so you can understand what is happening with the ICD and the importance of my INR readings. I also take my readings at home, instead of a lab where they draw a tube of blood instead of a drop of blood. Taught me about Vit. K. I trust her with my life. One thing I can say she listens to you what your saying, not dictate at you.

I had experienced irregular heart beats for several months. Finally my PCP sent me to Dr. Gowda which was such a blessing. It was such an easy procedure in her able hands and excellent team. Anytime I called her, she always called back asap and team was excellent. I am now off Amiodarone and also will come off blood thinner today and am so happy. We will follow closely. Dr. Gowda is the best and very reassuring and makes me so comfortable when I was anxious. Procedure was done so easily and Dr. Gowda is a WhizKid.

My mother was in the hospital and Dr. Gowda was the on call provider for my mother's provider. My mom had a minor stroke and called Dr. Gowda and she said to my mother "What do you want?" She was so unprofessional. I do not recommend this provider. I see someone else described a similar situation, and Dr. Gowda replied that it wasn't her. Typical. I heard what she said my mother. I know for a fact who she was speaking with. So I will accept no excuses. If I could give her a zero rating I would.

Dr. Gowda was the on-call doctor when I called the office on a Saturday re: an incident with my mother who is the patient of another doctor in the practice. She was curt and I got the impression I was "disturbing" her weekend. It was loud in the background and I heard people talking, so much so that it felt like other people were on the line with us. I understand I was calling off hours, but at first it was hard to hear her and I wasn't even sure she was talking to me because I was hearing other conversations. No apology, just "you're calling me on the weekend, I'm not in the office. I can hear you" when I mentioned my confusion hearing others talking. After I explained what happened with my mother, she asked me one question regarding the incident then said "You should call the office on Monday to make a follow up appointment with her (my mother's) doctor. Good bye." She then hung up on me!! I have never had a doctor speak to me with the tone this person used. Very rude.
