Dr. Sunita Kulshrestha, MD

Dr. K at the Shady Grove Fertility Center in Waldorf Md has been amazing to work with! My husband and I have been very fortunate to experience Dr. K's kind and compassionate nature during what can be a very stressful time period. Also, Dr. K is extremely knowledgeable and shared many different treatment options available to us for our specific situation; remaining very upbeat and encouraging while ensuring we stay positive. Dr. K has a very motivating and supportive spirit which has been greatly appreciated beyond measure! She has also been extremely patient and comforting with my husband and I as we progress in the fertility process.

We have been seeing Shady Groves's Fertility Clinic for about six months. When we originally came in it was due to my wife having irregular periods and ovulation cycles. After six months, about a dozen tests, and a lot of money, we have found nothing. We have become so frustrated that we are now requesting a second appointment with the doctor and telling her we need pills to.help her ovulate. We should have started this six months ago when we knew it was a problem, but she wanted to run lots of expensive tests in case there was a second problem. I'm a believer of solving the cheap problem at hand instead of a lot of expensive options to find a problem that may or may not exist. Now that we are requesting treatment from them, they require more blood work and tests. Did they think we originally went to Shady Grove for lots of tests, but leave the treatment? I don't know why they're just telling us about this now. It has been extremely difficult to get in touch with the doctor.

I have had to travel between 3 different SGF offices and Waldorf is by far the best. Martise and Dana are friendly. The phlebotomist (not sure of her name) is amazing and NEVER hurts me with blood drawings. I hate that I sometimes have to go to other offices because it always hurts elsewhere. She’s great. My primary nurse Shelly Love is great and is really nice. Gladys is great too. I don’t recall the names of the other nurses because I wasn’t primarily with them but all of the staff has been very friendly and seem to really want you to succeed! I pray that I don’t have to return here but in the event that I do, I’m sure I’ll receive good treatment. You’ll feel like less of a number here. I cannot say the same for other locations. I pray everyone reading this has success at this place and in general!

We are terribly disappointed by the service provided by Dr. Sunita Kulshrestha. She was not honest with us from the very beginning about our chance of conceiving via IVF. She was more interesting getting our money and misled us into taking all the unnecessary, useless, and costly tests. In the end, we were denied of our chance to conceive via IVF at the Shady Grove Fertility, which has caused us a lot of emotional pain.

Dr. K seemed to be more about getting your money than being honest about what you needed. My husband and I ended up getting pregnant naturally after she told us it was not possible. I wanted to try IUI rather than going straight to IVF and she would not hear of it. In addition, her office workers are very unprofessional at the front desk. The environment is not enjoyable and makes a patient even more nervous.

After four years of pain and sorrow, meeting Dr. K was an absolute game changer. Her demeanor alone made us feel like we had a new lease on (creating) life. She's incredible. She truly cares about getting to know her patients, and treated us with the sensitivity, warmth, and knowledge we so desperately needed. Beyond better than our local fertility center (MLF) in terms of patient/doctor relationship and building a life in a lab versus intimacy at home. At SGF you are not just a number, you are a special person to Dr. K and the nurses. They are so much more available and attentive than any other medical practice I've ever dealt with in my life. This trying experience was made possible by the wonderful person Dr. K and how she and Dr. Sasson regard their practice and work ethic at Shady Grove.

Dr. Kulshrestha is amazing. She is friendly, knowledgeable and does all she can to help one conceive. We were very lucky, our son is just over 3 weels old. We are already planning to try for another baby mid 2017.

Dr. K is beyond amazing! I was feeling defeated at the whole fertility process after going to another fertiliy specialist so when my husband and I went to Dr. K we were skeptical to say the least. What a different experience I had with Dr. K! She makes you feel like a person and not a number. Dr. K will personally call you to check on your progress and well being. She not only knows her stuff, but she explains everything to make sure you understand. She genuinely cares abt her patients.

Dr. Kulshresta gave me so much time and attention. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. She is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain each step of the process. Fertility is hard, but Dr. K makes it easier. I would recommend her to anyone. She will change your life.

Dr. K was not only a wonderful doctor but also provided a great deal of comfort and understanding in an otherwise very stressful process. I would recommend her to anyone pursuing (or considering pursuing) fertility treatment.

From the moment we met Dr. K she made my husband and I feel comfortable and confident despite an unfortunate situation. She invests time in each patient and I've never felt so understood and heard by any other doctor. Although I'm happy to say my time with Shady Grove was short-lived, I'm 13 weeks pregnant!, we had such a wonderful experience that we didn't want it to come to an end! She even called me over Mother's Day weekend to wish me a happy mother's day. She is certainly one of a kind!

Dr. K and the whole staff at Shady Grove are the most caring and professional medical staff I have ever seen. People come to them at a time when they are very vulnerable, sad, frustrated and I was no exception. They offered me realistic hope, a timeline and lots of options. Dr. K and everyone at SGF are absolutely amazing. From our first nervous appointment, my husband and I were immediately calmed by Dr. K. Fortunately I ended up getting pregnant quickly after a procedure recommended by Dr. K, but I honestly wish I could keep her for my regular obgyn! They are amazing, kind, helpful, the whole package. Do not feel scared to make an appointment here, they will truly take care of you from the first time you walk in. 100% recommend Dr. K and this office.
