Oncologist for breast cancer treatment post lump.
The first visit was fine. He explained lab work he ordered, which were markers for cancer. One was a very insignificant result. The second visit was a disaster. First, he did a breast exam without a female standby. I’m a retired nurse, so this was an immediate red flag. Second and third red flags upcoming! He did not use any sanitizer before, or after the exam. What a break in infection control!!! I thought if he is this careless with basic patient care, what other shortcuts might he take?A repeat “significant” lab was elevated so I was extremely worried about what treatment would follow. He told me he might order various procedures. When I asked about chemotherapy, he said we would have to wait and see (or something to that equivalent.)I found another oncologist who told me the lab markers were not used as a diagnostic tool and not to worry about them. She also explained the use of Bonita for bone density, which he never mentioned.

I was referred to his office because I am supposed to start a new medicine. I was very nervous because of the side effects that I was reading before my appointment. My daughter came to the appointment with me so I didn't miss any information he provided to me. He was very patient and answered all of my questions and concerns. I would recommend him to anyone.

Would never recommend!!!!
He told me he was open minded about my treatment and when I wanted to try other treatments he basically refused to be open minded. He at one visit said he would take my fiance to lunch while I was having my treatment, very disgusting behavior. My last visit with him he got angry because I did not want the treatment that he wanted me to get which made me feel awful, and he stormed out of the office and went to check how much money I owed him and told me that I told his office staff that I would take care of it today. I never said that. I stopped seeing him and paid my bill. I have another physician who treats me like he cares about me and is not in the dark ages when it comes to treatment. He also does not send narcotic prescriptions to the pharmacy you have to go to his office and get a hand written one.

Dr Vohra and his staff is nothing short of AMAZING!!! My mother who is 93 now, and 91 when Dr Vohra was attending to her with internal bleeding. He totally was reassuring to her that he would stand by her through the entire process of getting this fixed. She had to have 8 1/2 months of blood tranfusions, scopings by Memorial, and many Iron transfusions with Dr Vohra, all with the upmost care! Finally, after 4 tries at York and them wanting to try the 5th, we went to Hershey and they found and fixed the problems, still during all of this Dr Vohra (as he promised from day one) and staff were caring, and patient and reassuring! We can't say enough good things about Dr Vohra! TOP NOTCH! (plus Mom saw him with his many other patients getting IV's and he was so caring with each and everyone! AND the staff was like no other!

The staff is horrible! The office manager doesn't even acknowledge you! Do NOT go here! It was the worst experience ever! The doctor treats you like a child and acts like you are just a number. No compassion from any of the staff. The doctor makes you wait for every appointment for more than an hour. You leave not knowing what to expect. Did not give my mother a treatment plan. NO ONE prepared my mother for anything. I was so shocked on how this office could care less about their patients.

Dr. Vohra was extremely dismissive of my Father in Law aged 83, he said why bother doing treatments for his cancer due to his age. I cannot see why anyone would want to see this Dr. with his bedside manner or lack of empathy.
