Dr. Suzanne Lajoie, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Lajoie for about 7yrs now. She would of delivered my son but he took too long to come out, so Dr. Whitehead delivered him, she is also fantastic. I don't love my commute to get to their office but i have so much respect for them that i will not switch doctors.

I am shocked by some of these reviews. I found Dr. Lajoie to be thorough, thoughtful, and extremely knowledgeable. At no time did I feel rushed during my appointment with her and in fact I thought as I left, that I have finally found a doctor that listens, asks the right questions, and is not dismissive about any of my questions or concerns.I wonder if sometimes patients expect a doctor to coddle or hold an unexpected therapy session bc too often I see reviews mentioning poor bedside manner when really I think a doctor is just being professional. You aren’t going to meet a friend in an appointment, you are seeking medical advice. I found this doctor to be direct, professional, and she listened and addressed. That’s what you want.

I've seen Dr. LaJoie twice so far, at the beginning of my pregnancy and now again midway through. She was very patient in answering my questions and provided sensible feedback and gave scientific data behind any concerns I had about the development of my pregnancy or things I should be doing. I appreciate her cool head and a no-nonsense but kind approach to me as a patient.

She was dismissive of my pain, concerns and questions during my pregnancy and also my labor and delivery. Thankful for the nurses in the room, who made me feel a bit more supported and motivated than her.

I would not recommend this provider. She is competent, but I found her to be condescending and she was not attentive to my birth plan during my delivery.
