My search for an excellent surgeon was a prayerful deep dive. I found the best.I recently underwent L.A.R. surgery, and I can’t say enough about the exceptional care I received from Dr. Makarawo. From the initial consultation to the follow-up appointments, his skill and professionalism made all the difference during what could have been an overwhelming experience. The surgery went flawlessly, and my recovery has been smoother than I ever expected—proof of his expertise and steady hands.I kept a little secret during my time under Dr. Mak's care: I’m married to a retired professional athlete whose name you’d likely recognize from highlight reels and record books. Dr. Makarawo is amazing! Absolutely gave me my life back and saved it. He is very professional and thorough , he makes you feel comfortable and at ease no matter how difficult the medical problem he has to repair. I needed to get in quickly due to a thrombosed hemorrhoid. I was able to get a same day appt and Dr. Makarawo surgically removed it in the office. I was so scared since I had never had anything like this happen before. Dr. Makarawo was so kind and reassuring. He talked me through the entire procedure. His assistant put her arm on me and comforted me throughout. Anything being examined or worked on in this area puts you in a very vulnerable position but I cannot stress enough how kind and knowledgeable these professionals are. If you are having any issues, please call them. My surgical site healed exactly as the doctor explained and I’m back to restored health doing the things I love!

From the 1st visit to the last follow-up, nothing but courtesy, professionalism, and complete attention to my questions, concerns, and well being. Dr. Makarawo and his staff are so attentive and do their utmost best to make sure I was 100% informed and confident about the procedure I was receiving. Even at the hospital where the surgery was held, their staff asked who my Dr was and when I said it, they had nothing but compliments for how he and his staff prepped me. There were ZERO surprises and their genuine concern for how I was doing throughout the recovery period was noticed. From 2 calls immediately after the surgery (next day and two days after), to the follow-up visits, every question, concern was addressed. I sincerely felt heard and cared for. From the depths of my heart, I am so thankful for the referral from my primary care physician (Dr Meleth) and will never hesitate to recommend Dr Makarawo to anyone.

I will start by saying that I fell to a very unfortunate health situation. I met Dr. Makarawo while in the hospital for massive blood loss. Dr. Makarawo spent so much time as an advocate for my situation as I was continuing to get even worse news. After I was released from the hospital he was following up with my Oncologist when I would speak with him he already knew the results of bloodwork and other tests. This never happens. I felt that to be above and beyond as he took a personal interest in my health. He personally was calling to check on me and discussing surgery options. Dr. Makarawo performed surgery on me and his care and attention to me as a patient was absolutely amazing. Rarely do you find a great Dr. and a staff to match. I could not recommend a better a better Dr. and staff that will make you the number one priority.

Dr. Makarawo took care of me when I was admitted to Abrazo Arrowhead Hospital with a serious case of appendicitis. He had to perform a rather unexpected appendectomy while I was on blood thinners. His sincere manner of concern and follow up was just amazing. I am so grateful that he was there and took outstanding care of me!!
