Great Care from a Real Professional
I was referred to Dr Wyse with a need for cataract surgery. I went thru the entire process from evaluation and testing to scheduling and finishing the procedure. This was seamless as Dr. Wyse and her staff were as perfect as anyone would expect. From efficiency in the office to finishing and following up with the surgery, this was as near perfect as anyone could expect. Dr. Wyse was confident and direct while showing me that she cared. I would highly recommend Dr. Wyse and Wyse Eyecare for all your issues as well as preventative care. How often can you find a no regrets or suggestions for improvement from a patient. She is in Northbrook and has a great office staff.

Cataract Surgery
I recently underwent cataract surgery for both my right and left eyes at WYSE EYECARE. The entire experience, which was inclusive of Dr. Wyse and her very capable staff, was excellent! Dr. Wyse and her staff were pleasant, professional, competent, easy to work with, and endeavored to make the procedure painless and enjoyable. They explained everything in the procedure(s) step by step, what to expect at each juncture, and asked if I had any questions or concerns. After the surgeries, Dr. Wyse provided me with a phone number in case I needed immediate attention. Kudos and 5 stars to WYSW EYECARE!

Excellent Cataract Surgery With Dr. Wyse
My recent experience with Dr. Wyse and her team was extremely impressive. Beyond highly skilled and professional, Dr. Wyse is highly personable and a great communicator. She and her staff guided me through the process, detailing each step and setting clear expectations for me to have all along the way. Efficient, trustworthy, caring -- her practice should be a model for all.

A Great Experience!
My husband and I both started seeing Dr. Wyse a few years ago. This past month I had cataract surgery on both eyes. The staff was quite good at setting up all the appointments that were necessary and in explaining the procedures and answering all my questions. When it came time for the surgery Dr. Wyse was extremely competent, caring and knowledgeable. Everything went smoothly and now my vision is 20/20! No more contacts or glasses! I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Wyse to anyone looking for an ophthalmologist!

My child's optometrist retired. At his last visit, it was recommended that he see an ophthalmologist to get another opinion on a retinal scan. He also wanted to get contacts. I called the Wyse Practice, fully explained what was needed and scheduled an appointment. They completed another retinal scan, indicated there was not anything to worry about and fitted him for contacts. I found out after the fact that he was just another optometrist. This is where the nightmare begins. They rarely pick up the phone. So you have to leave voice messages, they rarely return calls. He was seen in early August for the initial appointment. Its now November, three months later!!! He still does not have contacts. Given the availability we had to take him out of school twice. He had to try on the contacts in front of them and get them in and out three consecutive times. They do not give you any contacts to practice at home. You do everything at the office. Horrible Practice!

A Great and Caring Doctor
I waited to review Dr. Wyse until both my cataract surgeries were complete. Dr. Wyse is the super star of eye care. Everything she does goes smoothly, and now I can see 20-20. Before, I had a 13-plus prescription in my good eye and the other could no longer be corrected with glasses. She's incredibly gentle and helps you decide whether cataract surgery is right for you but never pushes. She's a pro. She does 1500 of these a year. Since she was valedictorian of her class, it's really not surprising that everything she does is A-Plus Plus. I felt extremely well-cared for. Everything was explained to me in perfect detail. They use a lighter version of the drug used for colonoscopies, so the 15 minute procedure seems to take 30 seconds. It's a brand new world out there now. Everything is bright and colorful and I can see the falcon in all its glorious detail swooping by my window, or the bumblebee on a branch far above me. It's a miracle of science and she's the best possible doctor.

As someone who works in healthcare and have been a caregiver for both my grandmother and my mother, I normally give healthcare workers and office staff a lot of leniency when it comes to my expectations for timeliness and customer service. I've had multiple experiences with the staff at this office in making appointments for my mother who spends part of her year out of the country. Today, I called to make another appointment for her and was told that they couldn't proceed after I answered half of the patient information because "it would be a HIPPAA violation." I replied that it is not, in fact, a HIPPAA violation since they were not disclosing any of the patient's personal health information and that I've made appointments for her with them in the past. At the first sign of her snippy tone, I asked to speak to the Office Manager. Heidi then gets on the phone and emphatically repeats that I cannot make an appointment because of the HIPPAA guidelines. She interrupted me repeatedly, would not let me finish my sentences, and stated that the doctors would not care if they lost a patient. While I was on the phone with who will be my mother's new ophthalmologist (that office confirmed that making an appointment is not a HIPPAA violation), someone from Dr. Wyse's office once again called. I didn't answer, and my mother went ahead and messaged the office asking that her files be sent to the new provider. I have never been treated so rudely in a medical setting in my life - either personally or professionally. I suggest that the staff here get proper training on the laws and regulations that guide our industry, in addition to some basic customer service skills.

Very competent ... and congenial
Initial evaluation of my cataract was very thorough ... technicians patiently explained each procedure and I was comfortable thruout. Pre and post surgical instructions were clear, and I was comforted to know that Dr. Wyse took plenty of time to describe the procedure and would be readily available. All medical staff and Dr. Wyse made the surgical procedure comfortable and I'm certain that I received the highest rate of medical care.

Great Eye Doctor With Excellent Associates & Staff
My spouse, of blessed memory, and I have used the expertise of Dr. Wyse, primarily, and Dr. Bamba, since she started the practice, for over 20-years. We have found her/their professionalism to be superb, knowledge outstanding and interpersonal relationship(s) most friendly and pleasant. Over these many years I have not found any fault(s). Dr. Wyse & Dr. Bamba are good doctors to interact with. More recently, I had cataract surgery on both eyes. Both procedures, with Dr. Wyse, went smoothly and were successful. One last item respective to the doctors' support staff: for the most part they are a cohesive group. Natalie is outstanding, with whom I have interacted with for many years for initial screenings. She is an excellent technician. More recently assistant, Ivanne, was most professional & helpful with the cataract pre & post operation activities. Lastly, the office is pristinely clean and always in great condition and has lovely artwork. Good, knowledgeable, and professional people.

Fantastic doctor!
I needed IOCs for both eyes. Dr. Wyse walked me through the options. The new IOCs worked fine! It's been a few years now and I've not had any problems. I'm a senior citizen who still works part time as a engineering and technology writer/editor for a monthly magazine. Iuse mild reading glasses for computer work or reading but the rest of the times the IOCs are great!

My wife and I switched to Dr. Wyse and her practice last year. Her care is excellent and professional, and her staff is friendly, highly skilled, and well organized. Dr. Wyse has just performed cataract surgery on both eyes for me, on February 2 and 16. The operations themselves, together with pre-op counseling and preparation, and post-op care and follow-up visits, couldn't have been smoother or more successful. Dr. Wyse is truly great and is a treasure to have in our community.

Had cataracts removed from both eyes with an issue that didn’t allow for routine removal. Although I had to pay quite a bit out of pocket to Dr. Wyse’s office and the surgicenter, I feel that it was well worth it. Although Dr.Wyse is relatively young, her approach and bedside manner are throwbacks to an earlier time of care. She explains everything, both in office visits and during the procedures. My eyesight is so much brighter and clearer. Each of her staff with whom I dealt are also kind and respectful; and Jackie especially helped me out immensely when there were a few ‘hiccups’ along the way. I am grateful to have been referred to Dr. Wyse, and have already recommended her, and will continue to do so.

Having my cataracts removed by Dr. Wyse was miraculous. She is an incredibly skilled surgeon and highly compassionate person. My experience at Dr. Wyse's office has been far better than any prior experience with ophthalmologists. Their level of professionalism is impressive. They devote an exceptional amount of time during each appointment. They run far more tests than I've ever seen. They are so careful - checking and double-checking results to avoid any error. Dr. Wyse stayed to hear all my questions and concerns. And if you have questions the entire staff is knowledgeable and takes time to answer questions as well. They're very friendly and helpful. And they carefully explain the care instructions to make sure that the healing process goes well. The results are excellent. The day after surgery it was as if while I slept the world had been painted in vivid colors. My eyesight is so improved that I occasionally forget to wear glasses. I am grateful.

She suggested cataract surgery after evaluaing me eyes. It was more involved than I naively thought, but the whole process (including pre- and post- surgery checkups and weeks of eyedrops and "recovery" issues) was painless. I was extremely pleased with the results! Way beyond my expectations! The "distance" lenses I chose allow me to be a much better bird-watcher (and driver). I'm amazed at what I can see! The amount of prior information that was provided was only a start. Once the new lenses were in place, I had tons of questions that may have seemed from out of left field. They were all answered and satisfied my technical curiosity about how my body was adapting to the new lenses. The whole procedure, including before and afterwards, was more pleasant than I expected. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
