I have been seeing Dr Bittler for over 20 years. She is very professional and knowledgeable, and has been one of the best medical doctors I have ever seen. When I thought the pain I was experiencing was related to my endometriosis, she correctly diagnosed it as a gall bladder issue (which I needed to have removed). She has always taken her time to answer any questions I had. I never felt rushed. She has been very personable, and never made me feel that I was just another patient.

She completly failed to diagnose my HELLP syndrome even though I had a history of preclampsia with my previous pregnancies. She dischard me from the hospital saying I was fine and when I came back with severe pain a day later she said I should eat less cheese. It turns out I was very sick and had my baby through high risk csection that day at Maine Med. If I was in her care alone I think she would have really hurt me and my baby.

There were many missteps and lack of follow through with issues throughout my pregnancy. Thankfully, the other doctors whom I saw (for delivery rotation purposes) caught these issues and concerns. Dr. Bittler couldn’t be bothered to address any of these issues and basically shoved me aside. She literally moved me to another doctor without my permission. Having seen her for over a decade, I was sorely disappointed.

Dr Bittler is very kind, cheerful, caring & attentive. I have had 2 surgeries with her & no problems. I am able to communicate with her easily & trust her. I admire her skills as a surgeon & doctor.

I don't think that she treated me very nicely. She acted like she was a better person than me because she is a doctor.

She seemed kind of frenetic as if she were on drugs. I wonder if the hospital does drug testing on her. I would never choose her to be my doctor. She treated me like I was less of a person than her.
