After my initial phone consultation with Dr. Karamlou I felt very comfortable with her performing my open heart surgery. Dr. Karamlou answered all of my questions and concerns and didn't rush me off the phone. Dr. Karamlou is a highly skilled Cardiovascular Surgeon, but she is also very personable and friendly. I traveled from Michigan to the Cleveland Clinic to have open heart surgery to correct a congenital heart defect. Dr. Karamlou first met with my wife and I prior to my surgery, and then met with my wife again after my surgery to let her know how the surgery went, how I was doing and what to expect going forward. Dr. Karamlou checked in on me daily, and her very accommodating associates checked on me several times a night during my 5-day stay at Cleveland Clinic. My surgery was completed almost 3 months ago, and I feel great. I'm very confident that the surgery performed by Dr. Karamlou completely repaired my heart defect and has added years onto my life.
