Dr. Terry Hayes, MD

After meeting Dr. Hayes for the first time, almost three years ago in 2021 and for follow-up appointments, I found him to be extremely experienced and incredibly knowledgeable, from his many years o practice in the medical field. I found him to be caring and to the point with his evaluations. You will find him to be very thorough and he ask goods questions to his patients, as to not overlook anything while you are there. Any test results ordered by him, come back in a short amount of time. He works very close with his staff and they, as well, do an outstanding job. They treat you like family and they always greet you with a smile. If you are looking for one of the best doctors in Jacksonville, FL, in my opinion, I'm fairly certain you will be very pleased with him.

I never give reviews. Front staff and assistant were pleasant. New patient visit today to get established with new PCP and concern about headaches I get 2-3 times a year. He entered exam room without introducing himself and never hardly made any eye contact. Did not address headaches, just asked if they put me in bed. Gave orders for yearly labs and yearly exams, refilled prescriptions. I felt he didn’t want to be bothered with me.

I have been seeing Dr. Hayes every 3 months for more than 8 years. I have blood work, and see him to review them, and my current RX's. He's diagnosed me with a few problems that needed a referral, and some RX changes. It's very comforting for a 75 yr. old to have a constant handle on my healthcare. Also, he has an incredible staff. Before Covid, it was common to be greeted with a couple hugs in the nice reception area. He has had a lot of his people for decades. They know his patients.

Dr. Hayes will enter the exam room without introducing himself or making eye contact with you. He is easily frustrated and does not listen to your concerns and will rush the appointment without letting you explain the full reason of your visit. During the exam he is very uninterested and treats you like a head of cattle. He is easily the most unprofessional medical “professional” I have encountered. I’ve seen him twice and that was twice too many times. What a disgrace to medicine he is.

I have never written a review before, but Dr Hayes is rude, impatient and disrespectful. If you want someone to listen to your concerns and help you with diagnosis and solutions, go somewhere else.
