Only Dr That Actually Listened
I was given Dr. Clark’s cell phone number by another hospital and even though they never should have given me that number in the first place, Dr. C heard in my voice that I needed help and instructed me to come see him in the ER. He met me in the ER and listened to my entire story in detail to try and help me when other doctors had written me off with anxiety. Together him and I realized that I was likely suffering with a CSF leak and he made sure that he did whatever was needed for me to get treatment. I received an epidural blood patch on 9/13 and have been doing better every day since. He checked in on me every morning while I was in patient and I could tell he really cared. He told me to follow up with a neurologist who specialized in CSF leaks just to make sure I will be completely fine after the procedure. Honestly, without him I would probably still be having absolutely agonizing postural headaches and would be completely bedridden. I really can’t thank him enough.

I am very disappointed in the care I received. Dr. Clark contradicted the initial recommendations he and his resident gave me when I followed up and I found out by reading my online visit summaries that put errors/incorrect information in my medical records. During my follow up, he was dismissive, incomplete, and at time incorrect regarding my medical concerns. I have worked in healthcare for over 10 years and this is one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I have personally had…it makes me feel so bad for my own patients and the experiences they tell me about.

I saw Dr Clark after an ER visit to DRMC with sudden onset neuropathy. I found him (& his aide) to be ?????????????????????????? & ????????????????????. After my insistence, he ordered a spinal tap, labs, and reviewed my brain & spinal MRIs. I asked him specifically if it could be MS and, with a pat on my knee, he told me I was too old for that (57) and there was ???? ???????????????????? ???? ???? ??????, no lesions. Two months later, worsening symptoms, I saw an neurologist at the Mayo Clinic. After reviewing my records from Dr. Clark’s office (?????????????????? to extract), he asked how had Dr. Clark had ruled out MS. This doctor was evaluating the ???????? ?????? and saw ?????????????? ???????? clearly ?????????????????? ????! He also noted that while Dr. Clark had ordered a spinal tap, he ?????? ?????? ???????????? ?????? ????. Two weeks later, after another round of MRIs and another spinal tap, the doctor at the Mayo diagnosed me with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis.
