Surgery
Dr Rapacki‘s willingness to perform the surgery that I needed was a God send. Thank you for the good prognosis. I am grateful.

Knowledgeable and professional
Dr Rapacki was very personable and knowledgeable about my spine problem. He showed me what was going in my spine and explained the treatment plan. He answered all my questions and left me feeling positive about a good outcome.

Rude and arrogant
my son had an accident and fractured some vertebrae and I remember when Dr. R walked in the room, he seems annoyed and arrogant from the first moment we met him. His staff was rude and his nurse practitioner kept repeatedly getting into arguments with my son because he was having trouble understanding her requests- she some German lady and her bedside manner was bad. Anyway we are going to find a different provider. Our first follow-up visit was a complete nightmare. do not patronize this establishment.

We were so blessed that Dr. Rapacki and Ingrid took care such great care of us during my husband’s surgery, ICU stay and post op.care. They explained each step in the process. I now understand why everyone told us Dr.Rapackiis the only neurosurgeon they would trust for them and their love ones.

Dr. Rapacki is a surgeon so I didn't expect a super great bedside manner. He was decent, did not really explain the reason to send me somewhere else so I am going to the referral he sent just out of curiosity. To be honest I would not go back because it was mainly a consultation anyway.

My review keeps being taken off of here. If I could leave a minus star, I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH DR. RAPACKI! Rude, doesn't care what you need. Told me my MRI's were too blurry to read therefore he could not tell me what was wrong. He was referring me somewhere else for another MRI. Yet the person referring me to Dr. Rapcki read them well enough to know it was urgent for me to get something done. The neurosurgeon I went to yesterday said the images were very clear, much clearer than many he sees.

He was blunt and to the point. I asked if I could ask him a couple questions, he let out the biggest sigh and said yeah. Didn't really explain my issue, other than if I need surgery it would be high risk, not sure what it entailed, he didn't advise what the risks were and what to be concerned of. I'm dinging him on that, I was wheel-chaired in, and could barely get on and off the exam table, he had about as much compassion or concern as the walls in the room... I take that back, the walls would have helped me if I lost my balance. My visit was not long at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful though. Certainly not personable, or I didn't meet up to his standards.

IT TAKES FOREVER TO GET AN APPOINTMENT. I HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER 6 WEEKS FOR A FOLLOWUP APPOINTMENT. I AM PARTIALLY PARALYZED IN LOWER EXTREMITIES. I NEED BACK SURGERY AND THEY SEEM NOT TO CARE. IF THEY HAVE SUCH SHORTAGES THEY HIRE MORE DR.'S.

In October I had a subdural hematoma which Dr Rapacki treated. His response time was superior. Due to other conditions, and the fact that my situation was not critical, he treated the other conditions while monitoring me, ready to do the surgery & manage the conditions should I have gone critical. His team kept my family informed throughout the surgery & all of my follow-up appointments were thorough where he answered all my questions

Found him to be rude and arrogant. Was scheduled to get a MRI but will not because of his arrogance. He can take my copay and get a book on how to be a decent human. Acted irritated that he had to deal with a peasant like me. He may be qualified medically but needs to brush up on his people skills. I worked in employee relations at Anheuser Bush and Bechtel Engineering and If I treated people rudely I would have been fired. Being a doctor does not make you special.

My husband was in an auto accident that caused damage to two vertebrae's and herniated discs in his neck. He performed an extensive 11 hour surgery on my husband's neck (had to go in front the front and back) to stabilize the spine. Very detailed, clear and explained easy for us to understand.

I totally agree with you. He was trained as a military doctor. That is how military doctors treat active duty soldiers because they do not need to be concerned with being sued. He Bold Faced LIED to me about my cervical spine mri when I had already seen it and wanted to discuss what it showed. Do NOT trust him. He has medical knowledge, which is worthless because he treats his patients like they are STUPID, which is how the majority of military doctors treat active duty soldiers.

I could not sit or walk without extreme pain when I was referred to Dr. Rapacki. I needed surgery and put my trust in him based on his qualifications, experience and abilities in this specialty. It was life changing when the surgery was a complete success and I was able to walk pain free. During my hospital stay I learned that he is highly regarded by all the medical staff as well. I can’t say enough how grateful I am to have had him as my physician.

I've never met a doctor that was so rude and dismissive of his patients. He talks down to staff and no nurses especially, making them break down in tears, yet only gets a slap on the hand because "that's just how he is". He walks around being a complete jerk to staff, it's unacceptable, completely inappropriate and should not be tolerated!! Rude!! DO NOT RECOMMEND! get some manners and watch how you talk to others.

I had heard great things about his abilities, but as a person he has no conscious. He totally wasted our time by accepting an appointment to see us, knowing that he would not take on the case. Professional courtesy they call it, where he will not work on a patient that another surgeon had already worked on. That is fine, but his office asked us to bring the surgery report, when they should have told us he would not take the case. Don't bother with this man unless it will be your 1st surgery.

Absolutely trust what Dr. Rapacki recommends. His care, along with Ingid, while I was hospitalized was assuring and I felt like he really was aware of how I felt and was working to relieve the awful post op nausea. My recovery has been amazing, and I have not needed pain medication for almost a year. I highly recommend him!
