Dr. Thuan Diep, MD

I recently transferred my daughter to this clinic and had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Diep. From the start, I felt genuinely heard and respected. I shared my concerns about adopting a modified vaccination plan, and Dr. Diep was incredibly understanding, explaining the requirements for daycares and schools while empowering me to make my own informed decisions. He was also very knowledgeable about my daughter’s growth trajectory, taking her premature birth into account and offering detailed, compassionate insights. It’s rare to find a doctor who combines expertise with such a personable and supportive approach. I’m so glad I made the switch to this clinic!

My son transferred care from Sharp after our insurance changed and at the recommendation of our neighbor. We have been thoroughly impressed with Dr. Diep and Children’s Primary Care. As a teen, my son wanted a male doctor, and Dr. Diep has been so supportive throughout the pandemic. Even my teenage daughter has raved about Dr. Diep and they both see him now! He is quick to respond to the mychart messaging, and getting an appointment is never a problem, both in person and through telemedicine. We highly recommend Dr. Diep.

Dr. Diep is my 2 sons’ pediatrician and we LOVE him! We’d been looking for a male pediatrician for awhile after some less-than-ideal encounters with other male docs in the area (with the same and different medical groups), and he’s been great! Super friendly, timely, knowledgeable, and always able to get us in. We’re so glad to have him as our pediatrician now!

We switched PCPs several times the first month my son was born. Dr. Diep is friendly, thorough, caring, a great listener and is engaging to my toddler now. He always communicates when I have emailed him through the MyChart app. If you need a doctor, definitely try him! When you leave the appointment, he always leave you feeling reassured. He’s my favorite in the Poway Children’s Gateway office.
